Mhm, Heat's getting better by day, time will show how far they will go. Remember, they had their worst team last year going to finals...

Miami fully healthy would be and should be the prohibitive favorites in any series against anyone. Bulls and Thunder are the only squads on paper that can match up with them in certain spots. It's tough to beat a team that can score and defend with their best players. The Heat do that...

Shane is playing great, Mike Miller is finally shooting well after that injury last season and Haslem although has been inconsistent with his jumpshots he cam now play heavy minutes.
It's such a cop out to make health excuses. Look at Boston, Perk went down they lost game 7 and that's it. There's no ifs in basketball, you win with what you have.
Overall Miami has the highest probability of winning it all this season. No one is handing them the championship, it's the reason they play the games. They're just simply the favorites, they've earned it, get over it.
wait how they did earn being the favorites? i'm curious.
Are you serious? Or are you that dense?

let me guess. they've "earned" being the favorites because they went to the finals even though they didn't win. so why isn't dallas the favorites in that case since they actually won it all? i don't see the heat as the favorites in fact i have chicago being the favorites to win it all. i don't see what last year has anything to do with this year as teams change in the course of a single offseason as players move around and teams get better or worse but hey that's just me.

Perhaps it's their talent, from the top 3 to the role players? A supporting cast of Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem, Norris Cole, Mike Miller, and even Joel Anthony is pretty damn solid. Then you add in the talent of their Big 3, the results on the court, and the way the team has meshed so far and beyond the names, they've earned some recognition. Of course it means nothing until they live up to it, but it's not a shock to see them getting some hype.
Their only weak position is center and Anthony is a solid backup stuck in a starter's role...

miami has the #1 player in the NBA, a top 5 player in the NBA and their 3rd best player is an 7 time all star. There is no shame calling that team a favorite to win it all considering the talent. But nothing is guaranteed in life so lets just wait and see.
My favorite team btw way is the "No one Bulls" lol

As a Magic fan, i'm confident that Orlando and beat Miami in a seven game series, but i'm not confident the Magic can beat the Bulls or Hawks in a seven game series.

I've yet to see enough heart or balls from either to qualify as a champion. Who is the leader that is willing to say win or lose... its on

Obviously there are no guarantees, but it's getting to the point where the Heat should be expected to have a better chance than the field at winning it all. I do think that playoff matchups will be critical, there is still a chance that the Heat will end up with an unfavourable road to the finals if they finish 2nd in the East and the Knicks win their division.
Healthy Atlanta, then Orlando (going all out in Howard's final year) then no home court against the Bulls and Thunder. Only in that situation would I choose the field over the Heat.

We said that last season.
Then the Mavericks put a run together in the final minutes of the 4th quarter and LeBron choked the series away for 4 straight games.
This Heat team is a disappointment and nothing like I thought they should be. I think it's because today's NBA players don't have as high of a bball IQ as the stars of years past did. Magic, Michael, Charles, etc don't even need a coach when playing together.
Apparently, Wade, Bosh, and LBJ do need a coach to figure this out for them, and Spoelstra is not the man for the job.
This Heat team is very beatable.
