Either one of the Cleveland LeBron MVP seasons are better, and those were just two years ago.

This is the second weekend in a row that Durant and OKC dominated one of the top two eastern conference teams. Teams that prior to the match were said to be better than the Thunder.

Durant yet again steps up and has a monster game on both ends of the court. He absolutely tortured Deng on offense and suffocated him defensively. Later in the game he switched to the 4 and began abusing Omer Asik as well. An absolute complete game by Durant and an emphatic statement by OKC.

I'm sold on Durant. Top two player and MVP. It also looks as If he's well on his way to winning the scoring title. Amazing season by Durant.

If the Thunder beat Memphis and (much more importantly) the Heat this week, Durant's MVP campaign will be hard to stop by anything short of a Thunder collapse (considering their easy-ish schedule) or LeBron going super saiyan.

True that. Before this game I had Durant just a hair ahead of LeBron.. but he had a great efficient game so I think hes comfortably ahead right now. But you're right, if OKC win the games against Memphis and Miami then Durant will be hands down MVP. Will love to see how Bron performs tonight

Here's a fun stat. Durant is undefeated against LeBron, Dwight, Kobe, and Wade.

Nah. LeBron's last 2 seasons in Cleveland top all others. I don't know how this is even a question now that we've seen what those players he was carrying look like without him.

If the talking heads on ESPN get a hold of that stat, the MVP race is over

If Durant can catch Kobe for the scoring title it will be pretty good MVP

Don't mistake the "LeBron sucks" crowd that are hyping Durant to knock LeBron for Durant actually being overrated.

With OKC/Durant destroying the Bulls and Miami/Lebron being destroyed by the Celtics, Durant's lead is getting quite large.

It's as close to over as you can get.
