T-Mac could shoot and had playmaking skills. You give Kobe, T-Mac or any superstar the same shot that Durant has and they would still be just as efficient. Durant is good but he is the product of Westbrook and Harden.

That actually a) doesn't make sense and b) doesn't address the point I was making. Also, you said that T-Mac was shorter and that somehow made him better, which is ridiculous.

Yes because Durant is too tall for his position. By NBA standard he should be a PF or Center not a SF. He taller than everyone else so it so much easier for him to shoot over everyone else. You don't see Dirk playing as a small forward.

No, that still doesn't make sense. You don't evaluate a player based on the height you expect him to be and say he was "too tall." Is he effective? That's all that matters.

Magic, was he "too tall" to be a PG?

Also, you're wrong; Dirk hit the league as a small forward and slowly transitioned to PF. Same deal with Garnett.

But height is a huge factor in the NBA.

I doubt strongly that we will be talking about Durant as GOAT after a long series against Lebron James. This is just a fad.

T Mac is 6'8"

2 inches taller than Kobe, same height as rookie Lebron

LeBron lost 2 finals and by the time he retires will be the GOAT so I don't see how losing in the finals would affect Durant's legacy (which is at best 2nd greatest behind Lebron, but he'd have to find some way to top Jordan first).

Because Lebron won't be the GOAT. Losing 3 years in a row with HCA as the hands down favorite and then disappearing in the finals as well all but sealed his chances. He can be top 5 though.
