That's a bogus statement man. Melo took a lot of teams to the playoffs, and albeit he had a lot of first round exits, it's not like his teams are incapable of winning, he just didn't have enough help. And the one time that he did have enough help, he went to the WCF, and honestly the Nuggets could've won that series.
Anyways, if Melo was on the Thunder, IMO they would have lost to the Spurs in the WCF in like 6 games. Durant had an absolutely amazing series against the Spurs, and I don't think Melo, let alone anyone else in the league(besides Lebron) could have played as well as he played.
I believe that they wouldn't have had any trouble getting through the Mavericks, and maybe the Lakers give them a little scare, but definitely WCF IMO.

Hmm...let's see. General Board? Check. Topic about Melo? Check. Expected to see these responses? Check.
This topic and any topic about Melo that's posted here all ends up the same way...

Westbrook and Carmelo would the most cocky tandem in the league. One is all hyper-active and in your face, the other is more laid back cocky....perfect compliment to get under the nerves of ur opponent.

Almost as bad as if you subbed Westbrook for Rose. AKA the worst MVP in the history of the award and the guy who shot 39% in the playoffs in the past 2 post-seasons.
RIP Jared Jeffries. Gone but never forgotten...2006-2012

Are you saying replace Durant/Westbrook with Melo/Chauncey on OKC and that team makes the finals?

As the general board knows this for lebron, the bulls fans for rose, the thunder fans for westbrook, and the lakers fans for kobe
I know im missing more than a few here

Carmelo is a great player but he's never had a season or post season close to what Durant's had. Durant's at another level. Maybe they get past the Mavericks, but OKC needed some close wins to beat the Lakers, and strong games from Durant. I'd put that series as 50/50 with Carmelo. No way they get past the Spurs without HCA.

So id say we'd lose in the first round with him
Great fallacy right there.
Denver had some awful / injured teams he carried to the playoffs, usually losing to the Champs in the first one. He also has the worst playoff coach in NBA history. A player can only do so much, never missing the playoffs with bad teams shows he can win.

WB would be gone first chance for a return that's not as valuable, James Harden becomes a starter and also clashes with Melo. First round exit.
Lots of trolling in this thread?
Melo played next to AI and didn't go insane. So seems your entire post is way off.

So that means Melo gets to play with a healthy team for the 2nd time in his career?
