His shot selection was iffy at times, but he has to keep playing his game if OKC is going to win this. He's their biggest mismatch on the court in any 1 on 1 situation, nobody can match his quickness.

Unfortunately, he just wasn't finishing at a high rate in the first half last game. That may not be the case in game 3 and these "analysts" will change their tune, again.

"I'm not making no adjustments, regardless of what anybody says," Westbrook said Saturday before the Thunder's practice. "I'm going to play my game regardless of what happens."

Teammates and coach Scott Brooks, however, have been staunch in defending Westbrook's play.

"We need Russell to score. I know some (people) don't like that," Brooks said. "He got off to a bad start but he came back. Him and Kevin are both terrific players, they both have to score points for us to be successful. I don't look at who gets more, who doesn't get more. I look at the quality of the shots. Could Russell have taken two or three better shots? Absolutely. Going into (Game 3), hopefully that's the case."

Said Durant: "Everyone thinks he should be a traditional point guard like a (John) Stockton. There's a lot of people that cannot be like Russ either. Of course he's going to make mistakes."

"It's just something that comes along with the territory," Westbrook said. "We're in the NBA Finals now and the more negative you hear, the better you're doing. That's how I look at it."

I want the Thunder to win, but this just makes me respect Westbrook less. "The more negative you hear, the better you're doing"....what? When HOFers speak, you should listen...smh.

Fact, there's no team in the history of the NBA that gives it's PG the freedom to shoot at will or dominate the ball on every single occassion, OKC is not going to win this series with the way Westbrook plays, history speaks for itself.

It's always instructive to read or hear what the question was. Dude basically said "You've been called the worst point guard in Finals history. What adjustments do you need to make to become better?" No surprise that Westbrook is gonna be a bit defensive with his answer.

A lot of this bad point guard play is a direct result of Brooks playing Ibaka and Perkins together at the beginning of each half, which mucks up the spacing. Heat aren't even guarding Perkins.

how does anyone know if it's never been tried. has it ever been tried? probably not. and you know why, because no championship team ever had ONLY 3 scorers on the whole team.

It must feel really good to be as obliviously ignorant as
the more negative you hear, the better you're doing.

3.0, we already have rose.

Rose would never make a comment like this.

either he is too humble or afraid of media backlash, but he wouldn't say what Westbrook said.

rose has NEVER gotten sh** on by the media like westbrook

he's right. the best players in the league have the most haters...and he receives, by far, the most criticism out of anyone on the thunder. it doesn't really make sense to change your play style after making it to the finals so i don't know why people even suggest it
