If you hate Lebron and you aren't a Cleveland fan then I really don't believe you if you say you love the game of basketball.

Huh? I'm pretty sure most heat fans, myself included, don't hate dirk. Sure, he beat us last year, but he also choked away the title in 06 so it's all good :)

But that could all change in no time.

The only way the haters will permanently shut up is if Miami wins 3 more games within the next next week.

i think you underestimate how dedicated his haters are. doesn't matter how hard they have to try to manufacture reasons to dump on him...they'll manage to create something.

There is a campaign going on in the media to turn around the hate. For the past 2 weeks key people in the media have been coming out supporting Lebron and putting down the hate. As soon as this started this message board's "view" seemed to start changing.. Bunch of lemmings.

I've never been a huge fan of him, but his domination recently has been very fun to watch as a basketball fan.

Basically the hate has softened because he's doing what everyone wanted him to do all along, shut up and be an amazing basketball player.

Since that series against Boston (game 6 and on) he has been stellar. It is honestly hard to dislike him if he keeps this play up; its as if he finally gets it, which is nice to see for a player who many believe can become one of the best to ever play the sport. Instead of deferring, he is taking it upon himself. That is what the best players do when it counts.

Only because his play hasn't really warranted any hate and nothing stupid has come out of LeBron's mouth lately.

You are absolutely right. The hate kept perpetuating because every year LeBron kept acting like an idiot. It's easy to appreciate a player when he isn't making you cringe w/ bad PR. It also helps that LeBron has entered his prime.

He really got on my nerves with the decision, disappearing during the Finals, and making fun of Dirk when he had the flu. Finally he decided to take charge and has dominated this entire playoffs. So right now i am pretty neutral towards him. He hasn't done anything to annoy me as of late and has just been playing great basketball.
