RealGM Users,
This afternoon, I along with many of you got word that Global Moderator Tommy Udo 6 whose real name is George Zieman passed away on Friday.
The news is a shock to all of us here at RealGM and it is simply heartbreaking to lose such a great person.
George Zieman was not only a great Person and Moderator but also a leader and a mentor to many. No offense to anyone on my Moderator staff, but If we ever had a user poll on who the most popular Moderator on RealGM was, he probably would have a good shot at winning it.
How many Bulls Users could be so liked and respected by The Knicks Forum? The rivalry is huge there and it always amazed me how well he got along with everyone not just on the Knicks forum but multiple other forums.
George was one of a kind.
His title of "Global Moderator" truly represented his role on our forums as he was everywhere making people laugh, sharing his knowledge and making this community a better place for everyone.
I am grateful that George was part of our forum for 9 years and that this place that I was fortunate enough to help start up 10 1/2 years ago attracted a great person like George who helped make this community a great place for all of us. It is an honor to have come across someone like him.
All of us including are going to miss George but his name will never leave The Bulls Forum or our list of Global Moderators. It will stay to honor him and his great service to our Forums.
I encourage everyone to share their memories of George Zieman (Tommy Udo 6) here and in the many threads in his honor across our forums.
On behalf of everyone at RealGM.com, our deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to George's family.
May you R.I.P. George Zieman (Tommy Udo 6)
You have no idea how much we are going to miss you.
