RIP, I just saw this on the global announcements, I would have wished my condolences earlier if I had saw it earlier. :(

How did you find out about his passing anyway?

R.I.P Tommy/George. This seems all so sudden. Saw him posting around a week or two ago on the Knicks board. Very sad.

Wow, I just saw this now, really terrible. All the years I've been posting here don't think I ever saw him lose his temper, was always knowledgeable and had a good sense of humor. Just sad. R.I.P. man...

Class act. Could even forgive him for being a Bull fan.

One of our posters had become friends with George "offline" and would sometimes get together when George would visit Chicago. (He still has some family living here, although he lived in CA.) The other poster contacted George in advance of an upcoming visit and meet-up, and got a response from George's work supervisor with the sad news.

I didn't have the privilege of encountering his posts often, but when I did, they were all class and quality.

Condolences. R.I.P

I am just noticing this news! TommyUdo was the coolest. We had many debates and rarely agreed, but never had conflict. A true gentleman and basketball power mind!

My condolences to his family and friends!

He really was a good guy though. I liked him. And thats not easy as a knick fan because hes a bulls fan. But he always added something and was always respectful. Only time I recall defending a bulls fan from a knick fan was him. Because he never did anything to bait or antagonize. Just genuine good conversation from a rival teams fan that never acted like a rival.

He was very helpful here also coming into 2010. He knew the warriors pretty well. We had a few trades with them and he would come and give us input on the players we were getting along with other rumors.

There was a time he really opened up about himself. He explained some of the issues (for lack of a better word) he had with his health. I was very surprised with how upbeat he was. And would have never guessed this was a person involved in health battles.

Its kind of humbling. To see such a easy going and good guy living day by day with a blessed attitude. While many of us have it easier and seem more unhappy.

Its sad hes gone. But I bet if he was here right now he would down play it with a smile and a hand shake. Just the type of guy he was. Take care pal.
