He was always a class act every on every topic he posted on. He was also one of those guys that commanded attention without even trying.

I don't think I've ever commented on one of his posts or anything like that. But, I would always read his posts every time he posted.

Said it in the Bulls-forum thread, but it can't be repeated enough:

It's more than a bit of a shock, it's a bad loss for everyone who knew him, and for those who hadn't met him yet, and may he rest in peace.

I did not post anything for ages. I have been lurking the forums over the years.
Tommy was class act and such a gentlemen. He was kind to everyone.

Rest in peace.

Just happened to click on this thread - never read Tommy's posts, but I was struck by this outpouring of response to his passing - I didn't know you Tommy - RIP and my condolances to your family.

Just seeing this - for the past few days I'd been seeing his avatar everywhere and was wondering why his name wasn't attached to the posts. As others have mentioned he was a true gentleman. His posts and presence will be missed. RIP George.

Years and years (and years) ago when I was appointed a Moderator here at Real GM George was kind enough to pass on his best wishes - despite the fact he didn't know me from Adam and I didn't know him either!

He was always around whenever you wanted to talk basketball, or needed advice in relation to anything. Back in those days I occupied a fair bit of his time

I wish I paid more attention mate. Been away too long it seems (:

Oh wow, I haven't been on the site as much lately and just noticed this now. Didn't know him personally but he always had an interesting POV and was one of the more knowledgeable contributors on this forum. He will be missed. My condolences.
