Valanciounas looks like he will be a good big man, but Drummond is a freak of nature.

Lillard is the Rookie of the Year. Case closed. Dude is a straight up baller!

Let me guess... you didn't actually watch the game?

Exactly, Drummond won the matchup of rookie centers but no one was abused. Like I said a lot of the damage Drummond made was mostly due to Bargnani's insistence to overhelp on defense that caused our defense to shift, which Drummond did a good job of exploiting. I can only remember a couple of plays where Val directly guarded Drummond and Val guarded him well; I think the only point he scored on him was a nice alley oop. On the other hand Valanciunas had a sweet hook shot over Drummond and had a sweeter pump fake where he drew a foul on him.

It's a little late, but the author who likes to make Lillard videos finally did the one against the Bulls:

Hopefully Lillard's performance against the Wolves last night will be up tomorrow morning since it was probably his best one of the season.

Don't agree with that. Jonas was taking Drummond to school in the post and Drummond was getting easy buckets in the interior because of Bargnani's insistence on overhelping on the pick and roll that caused our entire defense to shift that got Drummond open.

Jonas had 2 good offensive possessions on Drummond and got lucky refs bailed him out on a drummond block. i wouldn't say he was taken to school, what moose did the raps front court was a school lesson. And if i understand this correct, Dre got owned, and only reason he didn't own val is because bargs sucks!? ya i don't think so. Val played well however, wasn't as impactful as AD. If Val can ever consistently drop that 18 foot shot he's going to be nasty. His pump fake is wicked. Dre and him are going to be fun to watch next couple of seasons.

Dre was phenomenal and owned the boards in his limited minutes. Frank finally played him in the final minutes and it payed off with a win. If AD played a full 30 min game, he could have 20 and 10 easily. He's also very underrated defensively with his hands and passing. Watch the highlight of when he stole an oop pass. RIDICULOUS

No one got owned, and if my post sounded like that that was only in response to the ridiculousness of the post I was responding to. And Bargs being a net negative on defense is a widely popular opinion, not exactly controversial to say at all. Bargs actually was playing decent help defense, until Drummond entered the game. Our defense tightened up once Ed Davis came in.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you're the guy that actually liked Drummond even after the Raps passed. Correct?

I liked him before too. I was on the Bobcats board advocating that they draft Drummond second.

I don't quite understand. It's almost as if you're saying there's such a thing as a good dougie.

Got to give credit where credit is due, Drummond looks like the best rebounder in this rookie class. Great athletisicm and awareness, deserves more mins for sure. Though you got to bear in mind that Val was playing on one leg in the 4th last night, that's when Drummond started dominating on the boards. Truth be told , he shouldn't have been playing in crunch time, because it was the rebounds that cost Toronto the victory.

I would agree with Choker that Drummond didn't "own" Jonas V, since the majority of Drummonds points came from dunks and putbacks but it was clear that Drummond had significantly more impact than Jonas did. Jonas is more polished at this stage, and it showed.
