Larry Sanders

Post#1 » by Beard » Sat Nov 10, 2012 6:45 pm

Guy is averaging 3 BPG and 68% FGP, leading him to be the only player in the league in the top five of both categories. Going into the season, the Bucks frontcourt looked pretty crowded with Dalembert, Gooden, Henson, Udoh, Ilyasova, Tobias Harris, Pryzbilla and Mbah a Moute, but that hasn't stopped the infrequently talked about Sanders from shining in his minutes on the court.

Is this simply a case of small sample size that will correct itself over the course of the season, or can he build on this good start and find regular rotation or even starters minutes on a consistent basis?

Larry looks like he has taken the next step in his development over the summer. The trade of Bogut really motivated him to work hard this summer, he looked good in Vegas and was back in Milwaukee training over a month early before the season.

He's stopped taking jumpshots and been relentlessly attacking the rim. He has even shown a jump hook that has been very effective in the paint. Larry is playing under control, but he's attacking the rim like we've never seen before.

Dalembert is not in shape and has only been effective in short stints. Sanders is taking all of his minutes and outplaying him clearly at the moment. Sammy will remain starter in name only, but Sanders is earning every minute he's getting. As long as he can keep his fouling and his emotions in check, he's going to have a very, very good season.

Kid is playing his heart out.

It's so fun to see results for a guy who worked his tail off in the summer in order to improve his game - I'm absolutely rooting for the kid to do well and continue this up.

Well I picked him up in fantasy, and he is helping me win the blocks category....so that's good.

Triple double for Sanders.

Took seven shots (made five), had zero turnovers, and only two fouls to get there.

Watched the Bucks/Wolves game last night, and he ate up Love & Pekovic's under-the-rim game. Didn't try to highlight swat anything into the stands, just had his hand between the ball and the basket. Great performance!

He got excited and swatted a JJ Barea layup to the stands, but other than that he's been watching some Bill Russell tapes and been controlling blocks quite well to get them back to teammates.

He still lays some eggs some nights, but he's really showing the Bucks something this year.

I'm hoping he takes Dalemberts starting job soon.

Henson & Sanders both deserve to be starting.

I'd love him on the Spurs next to Duncan haha
