LAkers lack speed...unfortunately, HOS don't have as much asset to exploit here..

Funny both the Cs and Heat have regressed significantly in terms of defense.

Why would they just take him out when he's only a couple of assists away? How exactly is that pathetic?

To me, these are the games where Rondo will need to show me he can carry a scoring load if he is to be taken seriously in the MVP race. Taking 7 shots when you're getting blown by 20? Pffft.

So this is the really good defense from Asik that Rocket fans were so high on.

I'm guessing you'd know something about how Rondo feels? Some of those passes marked as assists...wow. Drop it off to the guy down low, up fake, dribble, basket. Assist Rondo!

I think Rondo's a great player, but this whole assist thing is ridiculous.

So Rondo blatantly stat pads in a blowout just to keep a streak alive, and he gets praised for it on NBATV...anyone else would get crucified for it.

This whole assists streak is so meaningless anyway, a guy that goes for 30/9 is doing more for his team than someone that goes for 15/10.

Does Rondo seriously think that setting some assist records while leading his team to sub-500 would net him a MVP?

At the end of the 1st half, before the C's were getting blown out, when the game was on the line... Rondo stole an inbound pass and went up for a wide open layup and instead of making it... he passes it back, with 2 seconds left on the shot clock, into two Pistons players.

Doc needs to play Rondo 5 minutes in the next couple of games then bench him and ruin the streak. It's hurtful to the team at this point.

This. The achievement is completely diminished. Also he is looking to get assists so much he is turning the ball over a lot and hurting the team. Stupid.

The whole assist stat is so subjective. I was blessed to have seen a few Stockton games and he had a lot of questionable assist, especially at Salt Lake City. It's still a great streak though.
