His value will not be reflected in his stats. Kentucky won the chip last year on the back of MKG just as much as Davis. At 19 he is already imposing his will in the NBA as well, and has taken the lolcats from a historically bad team to being 3rd in the east.

14 ppg tops if he takes enough shots.
Green font?
He's averaging 12 ppg already, and showing strong signs of a post game coupled with the ability to exploit his athleticism in transition and his power on the offensive boards. He's managing 15.5 PTS36, meaning he's actually already exceeding the scoring rate you're describing.

I really can't tell, I hope he turns out to be like a better version of Phoenix Shawn Marion...

mkg will be an all-star in this league. he has very underrated handles, can make assists on the move, has a knack for getting to the rim + he shoots free throws well.
i don't think he'll ever be a good shooter off the dribble but he will add a set 3 point shot in his arsenal - that's the easiest thing to add to your game with repetition and hard work will never be a problem for him.
there are countless of elite athletes who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn who became excellent set 3 point shooters later on in their careers.

Look out East
Detroits pick is lottery protected in 2013
Top 8 protected in 2014
Top 1 protected in 2015
Unprotected in 2016
Bobcats arent getting a top 3 pick from Detroit next season

Especially if Charlotte uses the SAS plan (Bowen, RJ, Kawhi) of camping them in the pocket for the shorter 3.

Re: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Prime
I have a question for all you bobcats fans out there. In the summer league, I watched MKG and he looked like a point-forward...he was handling the ball very well when it wasn't in Kemba's hands and he did a good job penetrating and passing.
Was this just a fluke or does he really have the potential to initiate an offense at times like Pippen use to?
In any case, I think 18/8/5/2/1 on 45+% shooting are realistic numbers for him. He's not just a role player, and completely worth the #2 pick imo. MJ HAD to score on this pick, he couldn't really afford a high risk high reward type guy. MKG is a sure thing in terms of intangibles and intensity, and he will only get better.

Potential to be a point-forward is definitely there
