That's mediocre. ~33% shooting and 2 assists... granted it was against the Heat and the Cavs played great, but that production in 38 minutes isn't meaningful.

5-14 doesn't mean anything without context. Were they good shots coming in the flow of the game or terrible shots? How he came across those shots is what I'd like to know.

Either way, in the grand scale of things, he's a rookie so he's allowed to have many shooting nights. As long as his efficiency isn't brutally terrible, I don't mind it. Its a learning process.

Not saying it was, just keeping the board updated on his production.

Man Jonas has been playing pretty well against Tim Duncan. That is impressive as hell for a rookie.

Valanciunas 22 pts (9-13 FG) 7 rebs and 3 asts add that with 3 blocks and plenty of hustle and heart against the Spurs. Tough loss however...
Looking for a new signature. Currently, still evaluating.

JV also had 2 game tieing FT s to bring it to the first OT. He also blocked Duncan on one of the final possessions to give the Raptors a chance.

Jonas has really been a sigh of relief for Raptor fans. He already came in exceeding all expectations, and he's still getting better every game.

Lillard was having a very good game until the 4th QTR. I hate to blame refs but they treated him like **** vs Deron Williams.

He still got 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals while hitting 3-5 from 3-point range despite getting crapped on by the refs.

The raptors just need to back him fully. Trade Bargnani for anything remotely useful and move forward with him as the centerpiece.

That's just out the question. I've been following kid's career since he was 16 and if anything, every loss just makes him more and more pissed-off and pushes to work even harder than he already is.

So if we lose every game should we expect him to be at Tim Duncan level by season's end? ;)

That last move especially impressed me. He maneuvered his body into Duncan to give himself good position at the basket. That's a veteran play.

You know what's kind of baffling? That was clearly a broken play. It's clear Valanciunas has the skills to already be a good scorer in this league but he's being treated like he's Ben Wallace. I get the whole not handing out anything easy to the young guys philosophy, but with the attitude he's shown us so far I doubt he's going to take anything for granted.

Some would say varsity moves in fact.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.
