Ibaka/Lee/Randolph competing for 1 or 2 bigs. Gasol makes it before them.

Down year? His numbers across the board are almost identical to last years, except his shooting % is down and his blocks are up

The way Paul George has played this season, he's probably a bubble east All-Star.

Shooting % is kind of a big deal. :/
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Eeeee

0.472 from the field and 0.810 from the FL for a guy that shoots long jumpers...

If Portland stay in the PO he's an All Star hands down.

Aldridge is the leagues 7th best scorer and deserves to be on the team more than Love, Randolph, Lee and Duncan. Griffin as well, but the idiot fans will vote for him

Always good to throw in insults to people as you try to make a point. Griffin and Lee have both been more efficient on better teams, but somehow Aldridge certainly deserves it over them. It's better to make arguments than just throw out statements.

Aldridge is the worst rebounder, least efficienct scorer, weaker passer than both, and nothing special on defense. A little confused as to what propels him over them so easily. Then add in Duncan, not sure how this is working in your thinking process.

Per 36:
Aldridge: 20.1 pts / 7.8 Rebs / 2.1 asts / .522 TS% / 20.0 PER / 106 Drtg (Team: 107.1)

Duncan: 21.1 pts / 11.1 Rebs / 3.0 asts / .558 TS% / 25.0 PER / 94 Drtg (Team: 100.7)
Griffin: 19.8 pts / 9.9 Rebs / 3.4 asts / .563 TS% / 22.6 PER / 97 DRTG (Team: 100.1)
Lee: 19.2 pts / 10.5 Rebs / 3.5 asts / .577 TS% / 21.0 PER / 103 Drtg (Team: 104)
Randolph: 17.3 pts / 12.7 Rebs / 1.3 asts / .537 TS% / 20.3 PER / 98 Drtg (Team: 99.3)

Aldridge doesn't have the highest production rate, isn't playing the best defense relative to his team (Duncan and Blake are), is the least efficient scorer, is the poorest rebounder, and he has the worst record of all the guys mentioned. So I'm really interested in the argument you have waiting for us.

Update 3.0: Let´s see what´s happened...

I´m sure this will be the guys we´ll see in Houston (not my personal choice btw)

West:
Paul, Bryant, Durant, Griffin, Howard
Westbrook, Parker, Harden, Gay, Lee, Randolph, Duncan
(Steph Curry and Kevin Love are injured, therefore, West is easy to select imo... Bad for LMA, Nic Batum and Ty Lawson though)

East:
Rondo, Wade, James, Anthony, Garnett
Holiday, Jennings (or Ellis, one of them will be picked), George, Deng, J-Smoove (or Al Horford), Chris Bosh, Tyson Chandler
(Kyrie Irving deserves it too stats-wise, but he´s on a bad team... Hope Paul Pierce will be out this time)

Irving is so far superior to Jennings and Ellis that the Bucks record isn't enough to justify putting them in over him imo.

I was about to reply "who said Jennings or Ellis should be in the All-Star game", then I saw Ayatollah's post. I agree, those guys should not be anywhere near being All-Stars, no way coaches are voting them in.

Paul George since December 4th and January (22 games, since he's "broken out" and become Indiana's best player)

19.6 ppg
8.8 rpg
3.9 apg
2 spg

He's also a defensive player of the year candidate and arguably the best wing defender in the game, and has during that period led Indiana to a 15-7 record, and 3rd in the conference, currently on pace for a 50 win season despite missing their best offensive player (Danny Granger).

His offensive efficiency is about average, hopefully it goes up once Granger comes back late in the month and teams have to focus on him more, but he does everything else at an extremely high level,

He's been Indiana's leading scorer, rebounder, stealer and almost par with George Hill as their leading assist man during the period as well. He's done everything for a very good team.

There is no way the coaches leave him off.

Gay has zero business making in the All-Star game. Absolutely none. Batum, Aldridge, Marc Gasol, and Ibaka are all better picks.
But do you know what they call a fool, who's full of himself and jumps into the path of death because it's cool?
