Scrub Melo basically just lost my FG% lead in fantasy. Thanks, brah. I told myself I'd remove him from the line-up but forgot to.

And, if Bynum is healthy in '08, you don't trade for Gasol. See how that works?

And you just made my point. See how that works?

No, because you were imlpying that having Bynum on the court for the Finals along with the rest of your Finals roster would've tipped the scales in LA's favor. He wasn't getting back on the court for that season with that knee injury. His injury, however, was the reason why LA traded for Gasol in the first place. So either way, you wouldn't have both bigs in the lineup to employ against Boston.

If you go back and re-read everything carefully you would have understood exactly what I was implying. Bottom line, there are too many what if bogus scenarios. Everything in life can be viewed in the form of "if this didn't happen, then this could of happened."

Pretty ugly game for Durant tonight. 8-24 and 4 turnovers. Only player on the team with a negative +/-

Westbrook carried though. R. Westbrook 21 Pts, 7 Reb, 6 Ast, 2 Stl, 2 Blk

Well I guess Durant had to have a bad game at some point, and it came against the top defensive team in the league.

But good god, what a streak of games he had

34/10/5/2/1 5 TOV 68.1 TS%
27/9/5/2/1 2 TOV 92.2 TS%
25/13/10/2/0 2 TOV 65.6 TS%
35/6/5/5/0 6 TOV 62.0 TS%
29/3/2/1/1 3 TOV 61.5 TS%
37/8/5/4/3 2 TOV 62.8 TS%
18/6/4/0/4 2 TOV 92.3 TS% only played 26 minutes, blowout
37/7/4/0/1 3 TOV 70.0 TS%
25/4/3/0/4 2 TOV 70.0 TS%
20/8/3/1/1 1 TOV 67.8 TS% only played 31 minutes, blowout
32/5/6/1/1 1 TOV 75.1 TS%
36/9/4/0/0 3 TOV 69.1 TS%

Net 29.6/7.3/4.7/1.6/1.5 2.7 TOV 53.7 FG% 51.0 3P% 91.2 FT% 69.3 TS% 135 ORTg 33.2 PER .367 WSp48

Still as it stands, OKC is on a 8 game win streak and has won 16 of their last 18.

Why is it people are constantly bringing up TS% when the majority of the media only looks at FG% ?

Because quite honestly, the majority of the media is stupid. And FG% was the first way to judge scoring efficiency, and everyone has a tough time using something new.

But TS% is just flat out better than FG%, because it actually considers the fact that a 3 pointer is worth more than a 2 pointer, and that FTs count too.

I'd expect further regression to the mean on his shooting, and the turnovers to go up. He's not showing me too much that is radically different from last year. He's had a scorching hot start.

I agree, Durant will cool off a little bit. I watched the game today and he looked awful at times.

Agreed. 27/8/4 47.8 TS% is absolute garbage. The sad part is that those numbers are better than the majority of Carmelo Anthony's playoff run stats

04 15/8/3 41 TS%
05 19/5/2 49 TS%
06 21/7/3 43 TS%
08 23/10/2 45 TS%
11 26/10/5 50 TS%
12 28/8/2 49 TS%

I got 3 more for you:

http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 40OKC.html

http://www.basketball-reference.com/box ... 20DET.html

But who's counting? Pacers rank 5th in defensive rating, by the way, not first.

22/12/8/3/2 54 TS%, 15/6/3/2/0 55 TS% while only playing 29 minutes due to blowout, and 26/9/3/0/4 50 TS% are apparently TERRIBLE games.

Just for fun, let's average the game scores of Durant's "3 terrible games", excluding the Toronto game seeing as he didn't even break 30 mp.

Indiana 14.2
@ Detroit 19.0
Atlanta 19.3

Average 17.5

Now let's look at Carmelo Anthony's average game score for the SEASON

It's 17.2. Not to mention has has a career TS% of 54 and a playoff TS% of 52
