The Lakers will not make the playoffs. They really have to seriously look at the All-Star break and realize, is it time to blow it up and tank this season? I mean, WTF? At this point, I'm lost about this team.

I voted yes but I'm really starting to doubt myself. LAL just can't win any game... it's loss after loss. And I like it.

Why tank. They have no picks anyway

Lakers pick to Cavs is lottery protected.

^^Doesn't the pick go to Phoenix if it is in the lottery?

yea pretty sure it goes to PHX
which would be amazing if PHX ends up with the #1 pick (even tho they'd be a year early and miss on wiggins)

Lakers on a back-to-back tomorrow against the Spurs on ESPN. Should be fun.

there shouldnt be. playoffs=cavs, not playoffs=suns. thats it.

lakers 14 point underdogs in vegas to the spurs. i think its just about right.

as for the lakers prospects, the jan schedule looks brutal but march and feb look favorable.

I predict that the Lakers will make the 8th seed and make it all the way to the finals, enduring at least two 7 game series along the way, where they will beat Miami after Dwight gets 100% healthy and the fix their defensive woes and continue to build chemistry...

/perfect dream scenario

Wonder if Stern will make that happen? Personally, that would be devastating as a fan of the NBA

so if dwight does elect to have surgery, how long will he be out?...he is getting re-examined next Tuesday i believe. that will determine if they make the playoffs or not.

Well, I don't think that's a very realistic scenario, but from a fan perspective, I think it would be nice to see a team that underachieved and was expected to be great right away get rocked and mocked all throughout the regular season, finish out the season strong and then come together and win against the odds.

I disliked the heat strongly the season they lost to the Mavs. I felt that there was too much 1v1, iso action on the perimeter and I didn't respect them as a team, in terms of chemistry and identity. There identity was 3 great players, and a bunch of decent players.

Fast forward to last year's finals, and even though I was rooting for the Thunder, as a basketball fan I could help but appreciate and respect the way they played. Now when I think of the Heat, I think of a team with an identity. Not just LBJ/Wade/Bosh(although they are obviously vital to the team's success). I feel the same way about the Lakers right now. No identity/chemistry. It would be great to see them develop some.

Rehab after getting surgery for a torn Labia is usually around 3-4 weeks.
It should take Dwight approx. 6-8 weeks

When he is back though will there be enough time for the Lakers to go on run? Like a 20 game winning streak? :)

What's the point of tanking when the Suns own their 1st rounder if its in the lottery?
