Yeah, a guy dropping 90% from the deep and getting wins, no matter how horrible he is in other aspects, people would just be crazy about it. That's inhuman and would actually catch a lot of new fans into the NBA

80-90% from anywhere on the court? The scoring efficiency would be insane. He would be undisputed GOAT even if he couldn't do anything else on the court and got burned on defense every time.

This guy isn't winning you any championships..I have a dog on my team that can steal the ball on 80-90% of possessions, i get him to guard your guy , game over

If he's horrible at everything else he's not getting 40+ points. He would get ripped every time he has the ball and scored on every time. And if he shoots that well the other team will focus in on him and not let him get a shot off

Yes I would have him on the team, yes he is GOAT.

Now what you rather? Kiss John Goodman above the belt or Kiss Rosie O'Donnel below the belt?

If there was some random unathletic guy that could shoot 80% from 3 by just throwing up random ugly shots, i.e. side armed falling out of bounds, it would literally kill the league. The NBA would be a shell of itself by the time he retired. It would be compared to bowling and would lose interest once the 1-2 year wowfactor wore off on the guy.

For a team, the guy would guarantee championships. For the league, he would kill its brand after a certain period of time.

boring to watch a guy scoring 50 points per game with 80%? you like defense man...would be best player ever in the game, no doubt about that.

I don't get the entertainment concern, I get way more into it when a guy catches fire with his jumpers than lay-ups and free throws.

I'd love to watch a guy of this caliber play. 80% from anywhere basically? Just incredible

Now for part 2.

After 15 years in the league, the player retires. Since he was such a great shooter and could score from anywhere, he won 8 NBA titles being the focal point of the team.

He has career averages of 48 points (.850 FG%), 0.5 rebounds, 1 assists, 0 steals, 0 blocks, 2 turnovers 3 fouls.

Accolades include:
-8x NBA Champion
-5x NBA Finals MVP
-3x NBA MVP
-12x All-Star
-10x All-NBA First Team
-15x NBA Scoring Champion

So the question: is said player better than Jordan? All he can do is score from jump shots, but the scoring translates into championships.

It's a tad ridiculous to believe anyone who can manage to be on the court long enough to get 48 points could not get more than .5rpg 0spg and 0bpg, but the whole situation is pretty ridiculous. Anyways, if the guy is able to win you 8 titles and get 5 finals MVPs, I highly doubt he would just get 3MVPs, I would think he could get a 5-6 of them. Also how in the guy only All-NBA 10 times? Seems like the GOAT would make it every year, except maybe his last year if he suddenly had a major decline (I doubt that could happen to a GOAT candidate) or some year where he suffered a major injury. Someone who averages 40ppg is All-NBA every year, because there are not 2 guards, or 2 forwards in any given year in history that would top an average 48ppg player on 85% shooting.

So, we're talking about Super-Korver?

You can market that if you give him Stacey King to yell "HOT SAUCE" every game.

It would be flashy making 80% from 3. Are you kidding me? It would LBJ vs Bucks or T-Mac vs Spurs all over again.
