Durant is at

10579 points
2701 rebounds
1167 assists
395 blocks
494 steals
596 3pt made

That's after basically only five years. Blocks might become a concern down the road, but he should make it

Scottie Pippen was only a mere 22 three pointers and 53 blocks away from joining this club.

Funny, because Sheed's career has basically been a total disappointment. Amazing to me that he has so many fans, he's played dumb for so long and squandered considerable talent.

It also shows how underrated and forgotten Cliff Robinson was.

He was a fantastic all-around player and could score with the best of the perimeter players.

Durant is well on his way.

If he keeps up his current averages, he'll end the season around 12000 points, 3200 rebounds, 1500 assists, 700 3's made, 550 steals, 450 blocks.

Roscoe Sheed wrote:the main differences are that Sheed was a better defensive player than Robinson and has a much better post game. Granted, Sheed doesn't use his post moves enough- but he has all of the skills on the block

The gap between them as defensive players isn't much. Robinson was a more committed defender. He also didn't take himself out of plays as often because he was upset with a call. He used his length well to harass perimeter players.

He and Jermaine O'Neal will always be huge what-if's, and you can throw Webber in there as well. All three of those guys could've been top 5 PF's to ever play if they lived up to their potential

Remember him back in Carolina just playing video games (arcade at that time all day). Didn't work at all. Basketball just came naturally to him. No motivation, no work ethic.

Out of the 3 ACC freshmen bigs: Joe Smith, Tim Duncan and Sheed--Sheed was by far the most talented. Joe Smith rocked that year. Sheed left after his freshman year. Duncan was just raw but really developed in 4 years in into one of the greatest ever.

If Sheed had Duncan's work ethic and mindset, he probably would be greatest power forward to play the game -- bar none.

What you said here reminds me of the potential of Derrick Coleman. If he had Duncan's or Karl Malone's work ethic...man, I don't even want to think of how much more of a beast he could have been.

I'll never understand the love that Sheed seems to get. While he was an all star, he was still a career underachiever. But worse than that is how some fans find his on court persona so endeering. Why exactly was it so entertaining to see him argue with the refs over every single call? Literally every single one. The fact that he's still screaming "ball don't lie" during his tantrums a full decade later seems plain sad to me.

Wow, that's pretty funny. But there was probably no club when he retired...lol

Because he is passionate and wears he emotions on his sleeve. He is a character and unique. He marches to his own tune. He rebels against authority. He speaks his mind. He is not a drone

In short he is entertaining and his teammates LOVE him

Really? Was 4 consecutive posts necessary?
Also I'm not sure if you're joking or not. 43 3 pointers made in the past 4 seasons for Matrix..

Yeah, in my opnion he had the talent and skills to be in that Duncan/KG/Dirk group. When the "good" Sheed showed up, he could not only carry a team offensively, but anchor the defense at an elite level. While it's a shame he never lived up to his full potential, he was still a lot of fun to watch.

Whoops. That one doesn't belong in there.

I love it

I remember some people were kinda laughing at me before the season saying Rasheed could still be a consistent player in this league, because I went off of his Boston time where he played the Robert Horry role, only being some bigger than Horry was in size.

Doing that right now for the Knicks at 37/38, and it's awesome to see

I just wish San Antonio would of picked him up when he was a FA in 2009, and even before this season when he wanted to come back...

The problem with Sheed is that he is the quintessential "jack of all trades, master of none" player. He can do a lot of things pretty well, but he's not REALLY GOOD at any one thing. He's a very smart player who understands all aspects of the game. It's no surprise that the thing he's best at is the stuff that doesn't appear on the boxscore, like defence.

I think he could have been better offensively, sure. But I doubt he would have been at KG/Duncan level as a double double threat every night.

Arguably, Antoine Walker.
