Gerald Wallace. Guy has the most unexpectedly deep, bass voice.

Matt Carroll is sounds like a young Larry Brown. It's uncanny.

Brandon Roy. I expected his voice to have more bass to it. Still was a beast though haha

Just looked up an Evan Turner interview to see what all the hype was about ..

Besides the speech impediment I don't get it.. his tone is about what I'd expect

Asik vs Dikembe vs Darth Vader

A little off sport specific topic, but Walter Payton's voice always threw me off after watching his play.

Different sport, but still catches me off guard every time.

A lot more high pitched than I thought. Anyway, this post-game interview was also maybe the shining moment of his career, sadly ended too short.

Also, Andre Millers voice is really strange.

Also, Festus Ezeli. Mostly because he moved from Nigeria at the age of 15, so I expected him to have more of an accent.

Tough guy image? Since when? I watched Bibby in college and never pegged him a "tough" guy. Not sure what the tats have to do with anything...

For me, it's easily Matt Barnes. I was totally caught off guard when I first heard him speak, only a year or two ago. A real soft spoken dude.

Roy, Crash, and Duncan caught me a little off guard when I first heard them.

RJ, Asik, and Turner aren't too unexpected for me though for some reason.

Chris Mullin definitely shocked me at first. I was young though, had no idea about his background.

Mills is by far my favorite interviewee ever though.

Rubio still sounds like he's 14, always makes me laugh:

Harper is unfortunate, but I'm not gonna lie, it was surprising to hear him (warning: rage-worthy video)

As far as the racist argument you guys had, Vince Carter is a good example. Sure, it feels icky to think, "wow he's so articulate for a black guy", but it's pure sociology- the juxtaposition between the urban type of game he embodies (dunking legend, hated/cocky basketball superstar) and the humble, warm way he speaks is striking. To acknowledge it isn't right or wrong though.
