The chances Phoenix acquires a star through the draft in the next 3 years are very slim, taking a chance on Rudy Gay makes sense

Hopefully the suns don't throw away Tucker, he's their best player...... how the mighty have fallen

Wait a minute, I thought Phoenix just rolled out the red carpet for Beasley?

What the Suns need to do is tear down their team, bare bones it, and start over.

Acquiring Gay is another patchwork type move that isn't going to benefit the team, or the fan base, in the long run.

It's such a shame that they are removed from the Nash, Marion, STAT era. That was awesome fan basketball even if it didn't yield a championship.

no that was for Goran Dragic

spoiler: wasn't worth it, he plays one good game, than has a terrible one, and constantly gets abused by opposing guards.

-Suns need to keep Dudley and Tucker

-Trade Dragic for Vasquez

-Trade Beasley at the trade deadline

-Trade Scola for a quality player or for picks

-Do whatever they can to Get rid of Brown

-Try to get Gortat to change his mind

-Rebuild with picks

Awful deal for the Suns....

Now if it is Dudley AND Frye AND Beasley...that would make more sense.

Gay's destiny is to play for the San Francisco Warriors. He'll have a HUGE built-in fan base here :D

Once we acquire Kevin Love and team him with Gay, SFW will be set.

In hindsight the bid on Scola wasn't a very bright move, and Channing Frye's ass ugly contract is bad. I don't think i've looked at the suns roster til now, didn't realize how bleek it really was.

The Dragic contract isn't too bad considering how much other starting PG's in the league get, but going forward i'd only keep him, Dudley, Marshall and Gortat unless one of those guys gets you out of Frye's or Beasley's contract. Scola should be a nice trade chip to contenders

I think it's a good trade. I hope it happens, so it can benefit both teams. :)

Gay Love Curry

would be interesting stuff

or we could let Jack walk and get Sessions as backup PG and run out

Usually when trade talks hit the interwebs the talks are usually already dead.

Dudley+pick+filler would have been a great deal for Memphis.

Haven't the Suns learned their lesson yet about overpaying for non-franchise type players? Small/mid market teams cannot afford to overpay for talent.

Awful trade for Phoenix. Awful. If anything they should be the ones charging a draft pick for taking that bad contract off Memphis' hands, not the other way around. If I was PHX I would be telling them Gay for Dudley (plus the obvious necessary $$ fillers) straight up or nothing.

I dont see how it would be a bad deal for PHX if it was just Dudley/scrub fillers and no picks, but then again im not a Suns fan and I really dont know how this would effect their cap situation moving forward

Gay for Dudley plus the Lakers pick. Come on Phoenix I dare you.

Then the Lakers get the first pick and THE LOLZ will be had by all...

hard to figure out PHO strategy. I think mainly they just want to make a profit.

Picks the Phoenix Suns have traded:
Luol Deng
Rajon Rondo
Serge Ibaka.

Phoenix...needs...to...stop...trading...their...picks.

Spending that kind of cash on a guy that really doesnt make a team a whole lot better and doesnt really put fans in the seats either (how many people would really buy a ticket thinking "I wanna see Rudy Gay play ball"?) would kinda contradict that
