Players who will switch positions later in their careers...

Players do it all the time to extend their careers. Jordan played small forward near the end of his Bulls run, Garnett and Duncan are primarily centers now, Durant and Lebron are playing more and more power forward. Jason Kidd and Chauncey Billups are shooting guards for the most part also. Who are some other players who will do this?

Pau Gasol is softer than most SF's so he should be a 7-foot shooting guard.

With Dwane Casey, Landry Fields may be playing centre for the Raptors

I can see Lebron getting moved to the PF position down the line, when he'll have to rely more on his strength in the post than his athleticism.

He won't miss a beat.

if Acie Law will ever play in the NBA again, with Don Nelson as the coach he will be the ultimate small forward :D

Watch a basketball game coached by Dwayne Casey and you will see some awful stuff in regards to player position.

Players generally tend to shift up in position as they grow older, slower, and fatter/heavier/stronger. I think you'll mainly see a lot of SFs switch up to PF, and PFs to C, especially as the NBA goes more small ball.

Durant to PF in about 5-6 years.
LeBron to PF (obviously) in about 3 years.
Possibly Avery Bradley to PG. Only for a team with a playmaking SG or SF though. And I really doubt it.
Possibly Luol Deng, Danny Granger and probably Gerald Wallace to PF.
D-Will to SG in about 4 years.

I'm talking full time here.

Paul Pierce was a shooting guard before Ray Allen arrived in Boston.

durant will always be used as a 3. not saying he wont be used as a 4 cause he sometimes does already. but he will most likely be considered a 3 for his whole career.

even if he ages his game will mostly stay the same other than the dunks and athletic plays. hes a shooter and that will never go away despite age.

Steph Curry to shooting guard. He IS a shooting guard that plays point guard for the Warriors, but I see him as a full time shooting guard (starting or backing up) later in his career as in after his current contract and maybe even after the next.
