Tmac signed.his.lifetime deal in 2002.... But signed with them out of HS in 97. Just.like D Rose signed a rookie.deal with adidas in 08 and got a lifetime deal in 2012

Ok, didn't know that. He signed a 6yr contract back in the summer of 1997. But I tried to find any arcticles about a Adidas tour from 1998 or 1999 with McGrady participating. The Google archive can't find anything from 1/1/1998 to 12/31/1999. So, while you are sure about that, you may want to give a proof.

LOL at Tmac trying to save face. I don't see why Kobe would have just made up a detailed story like that. If he wanted to lie he could have just said "Oh yeah, I beat Tmac a couple times back in the day" or something vague.

TMac was more physically gifted; Kobe was more mentally gifted. Look how its turned out for them both. They mental and emotional evaluations prior to the draft should be more in depth, IMO.

I have no idea where it is now. Probably in the basement somewhere. I remember it vividly, because that magazine was all I had that was NBA-related for about six months when I was 13 years old. Must have read it like 50 times. Antoine Walker was there, too.

Maybe a Streetball event? Walker was a bigger name at that time, but I couldn't find articles about him being in Germany either. I have some blurred memory of someone telling me he once met Walker at an Streetball competition back in the late 90's in Germany, but I can't remember who it was, he might have mentioned Bryant as well, but I really don't know whether McGrady's name came up in that conversation.
