Could Kobe beat LeBron 1-on-1? Kobe: "No question. As far as one-on-one, I’m the best to ever do it."

I just don't see how Kobe could stop LeBron from scoring. And on the other end, LeBron's size and length would overwhelm him.

What does that have to do with one-on one?

No,he couldn't beat Lebron right now, maybe if he was 4-5 younger but not now....but to bring up GAME Stats to prove a point(which involve transition plays, screens, etc) is just (Please Use More Appropriate Word)

Lebron in the post. Game over.

I don't really get what Kobe thinks here. Lebron is bigger, he's more athletic, and just as good a defender (I'm assuming we're talking prime Kobe as the current version has no business in this discussion).

No way lol.

I think he's a top one on one guy and he'd probably beat any guard, but LeBron's just a terrible match up for him.

It'd be very tough for him to score on LeBron... Not to mention defend him lmao.

LBJ is not on Kobe's level. I don't even think LBJ could be Melo one on one.

Melo has a much better chance against LeBron IMO.

Melo the only player with the size, handles and strength.. Durant has length over Lebron but Lebron would dominate him completely.. same with Kobe.. kobe probably has more offensive moves but Lebron would over power him..

Lebron vs. Melo would be good tho

It'd be closer than people think because Kobes ability to hand check is going to negate a lot of LeBrons strength on drives. I still think LeBron takes more games than he loses though.

Durant would probably beat LeBron in 1 on 1. He had plenty of ISO opportunities against LeBron in the Finals, and LeBron couldn't really stop him. Durant would have trouble defending LeBron, absolutely, but I think it'd be tougher on LeBron to stop Durant than vice versa.

LeBron would beat Melo or Kobe.

i think you made the counter argument yourself. lebron had trouble guarding kd. kd was running as far away as possible from a defensive matchup with lebron.

I don't like LeBron, but not even peak Kobe can beat prime LeBron 1 on 1. I'm having trouble picturing Kobe boarding over LeBron after misses...

Did you watch the finals last year? Lebron neutralized KD. Not saying if they played 10 games 1 on 1 Lebron would win overwhelmingly, but he has the psychological edge. Also, they both train in the offseason, I have no doubt Lebron wins those 1 on 1 battles. Now, Melo vs Lebron is a real matchup.

Oh Prime kobe vs prime bron? I probably go with prime Kobe. That dude was really strong at the time.

^ Dude was noticably thicker, stronger, and still kept all his speed.

But right now yea Bron would win. Probably couldn't beat prime Kobe though. Too strong and skilled.
