No but seriously...how does Kobe rebound? Prime Kobe vs Prime Lebron and you want to know who's going to get the rebounds? Kobe will basically have to rely on outside shooting while lebron can still rely on posting. People talking about his post game not being that good...yeah sure maybe against other SF and PF but not against a SG in a one-on-one situation where there's no double-team. I'm not saying Kobe isn't good, but it's just a little ridiculous to think he could take someone bigger and stronger than him that can shoot just as well (better perhaps) and is just as good defensively though also has a defensive advantage because of length. What is Kobe's advantage? And how do they outweigh the stockpile of advantages that Lebron has?

i think it'd be close, and i wouldn't be surprised if either won. but i'd pick kobe.

kobe has a better shot and is more creative getting to rim (much better footwork). these are pretty big advantages when playing 1-on-1.

lebron is faster and stronger, but without screens from teammates or a full-court to run, those strengths are slightly diminished.

however, if this game isn't "officiated" and kobe's not calling charges... and lebron has free reign on driving heads-down, shoulder out, like a freight train, then yeah, he'd take the game, no question.

People need to stop being prisoners-of-the-moment.

Less than a year ago Lebron was viewed as being timid and afraid of "the moment"; a characterization that had plagued his entire career. Now, Lebron wins one ring during a shortened season and everyone acts like that single display of killer-instinct is the new rule and not the exception.

In a game of 1-on-1, when it's 'point-game', Lebron won't have Mario Chalmers to defer to for that last bucket and there won't be any refs to bail him out after a failed bull-doze attempt. Meanwhile, Kobe won't be looking to pass or expecting a whistle, he'll just do what he's been doing for 15+ years...hitting game winners.

03 Kobe would wreck him...he was a tank with amazing quickness and shooting ability...but what does it matter? Jerry Stackhouse beat Jordan when he was in college and Scott Burrell used to take him to the limit in practices. It doesnt really say anything.

The thing about a 1 on 1 is there is no 24 second shot clock, no rules and no double team. Kobe would have a hard time preventing Lebron from just putting the grown man on him by backing him down, backing him down, spin, drop step and he would have Kobe backpeddling big time

Last night Bron got Kobe 1 on 1 and backed him up down low like it was his little brother. Imagine 1 on 1 with no shot clock....Kobes legs would be dead tired

It's so sad the NBA doesn't have a 1 on 1 competition.

Even if they did LeBron would be too much of a coward to enter a 1 on 1 competition with Kobe, even if he would win he is too afraid of the possibility of being embarrassed.

people that think this would be one-sided either way have a sub human IQ. probably kids that are too awkward to even go in a public setting to play one on one with another person and don't know a thing about it.
