one of the least impressive 50 point games I've ever seen. It was basically one of those vintage Kobe chuckfest type games.
13/31 FGA's and only 1 assist?

too many free throws, Nba's lover boy
he was clutch tho i'll give him that. But i dont think the mavs should be that hard to beat but oh well
Mavs had just won 4 straight.
still don't consider them to be good. I just don't. I feel like how the Thunder is built they should blow them out every game but the mavs are always hard for them, weird

You can't expect great teams to blow out everybody they are clearly better than. Just doesn't happen in a long 82 game season. Thunder are still what, 31-8? they are beating these type of teams more than we are.

i dont expect them to blow everyone out but i dont get why just historically speaking they always have problems with the mavs, i think its something to do with their defense and the mavs just knowing how to keep games with okc competitive idk
like i said, the mavs arent good and when they took the heat to overtime i was annoyed too. i just dont think the mavs are good this year (and last) but thats my opinion.
btw as a heat fan, im not even scared of OKC. not sure why but i feel like we have a grasp on how to beat them and should always beat them in a series. But maybe i'm naive...
anyway, on paper the thunder look like a matchup nightmare for the mavs and somehow the games just play out differently

Unimpressive 50 point game...it's almost an oxymoron. He may have not been efficient but he hit two huge shots to seal the game for them.

I'm more impressed that he shot 100% from the FT line at 21-21.

But but but but, He's a better all-around player than LeBron James.

Green text? I've never seen anyone claim that.
But yeah, that was a Kobe-esque performance. Except for the clutch shots.

Damn that was such a great game.
I know VC always plays some of his best ball against OKC, but clearly we can see that the man still has a lot of game left.

He may not be the better player (certainly not the better all-around player), but he doesn't deserve to be called a chucker as well. He's having a significantly more efficient season at 24 years of age in terms of scoring compared to LeBron's season when he was the same age.
Impressive game by Durant.

Jordan never fully understood basketball. He had the lowest basketball IQ of any NBA "superstar" in history.

KD for this one game:
TS% = 64.61%
eFG% = 50%
USG% = 36.68%
Shot poorly from the field but made up for it in made free throws and three pointers.
