Bad: Celtics, Leo, honourable mention to Chuck when he was here

The Bucks commentators are easily the most annoying and heavily biased duo in the league.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Any broadcast that uses we/us/our when talking about the team is awful.

I think it was Denver's broadcast that said the score by saying ''good guys X, bad guys Y''. I was rolling.

Clippers-God, Lawler and Smith are MASSIVE homers. It's unbearable to listen to them.

I think the best local commentator duo goes to the Knicks. They get Breen every game.

I was impressed by the Hornets commentators, didn't seem too bad and called the game down the middle.

This is my view. I hate biased announcers and they are all biased towards their home teams.

That's the type of statement that takes a whole lot of evidence to back up.

And what do people expect? For local commentators to come up and say "Yeah the [insert name here] have a really bad future. [so and so] is on a bad contract and shouldn't even be in the rotation". The people listening to them for the majority of the season are fans of the team, so naturally they will depict the home team in a positive light and get excited when the home does well, but that doesn't mean that they can't announce objectively.

There are plenty of commentators who announce with enthusiasm for both teams and don't have that much of a bias.

As for the question...the Utah commentators always seem to bore the heck out of me. I really like Portland's commentators.

Maybe it's just me but I find nothing wrong with the rockets broadcasters. They are actually quite entertaining especially with Clyde drexler

But my favorite has to be the Knicks. Mike Breen shows genuine excitement about the game, cue the "bang" video.. And what can you say about Walt Frazier. He's a legend, unbiased and has a variety of catch phrases. Seriously if you watched Knicks games you'd know he's their biggest critic

I've listened to almost every teams announcers as I've had league pass for the past 3 years. The only announcers that I like are: Lakers, New Jersey and New York. The thing I like the most about the Lakers announcers is that even though the team is always very talented, their very critical of the team. If any other team had rosters like the Lakers have, I can't imagine how much more annoying a lot of these commentators would be. I love New Jersey's announcers as well, especially Ian Eagle who IMO is the best play-by-play guy in the league.

Everyone outside of those teams has at least one bad commentator, most of the teams with 2 bad ones though. Also +1 to the guy who mentioned the commentators that mention the score by saying "Good guys x and bad guys x" like what the hell is that, have some professionalism.

Mike Rice is old and jolly and just kind of trolls, I actually find him entertaining. Our pbp guy though, Mike Barrett, is a complete unprofessional fan boy.

Still not as bad as Boston though.

I kinda like the Wizards guys.

They're fair, not going overboard and give props to the opponents when due aswell - their play-by-play guy is really insisting on pronouncing players names correctly aswell.

Quite professional, I always enjoy listening to the games they call - they deserve a better team to broadcast though.

Nets are great too, maybe my fav.

Their usual play-by-play guy is fantastic - but they also have this new kid who I don't know his name, he seems pretty funny and just carries himself nicely with a combination of formality, enthusiasm, and humor with his partner.

Btw the Bulls play-by-play guy is just horrible.

I mean, he makes so many ridiculous mistakes and forgets stuff almost everytime I hear him.

Like the last game I saw against the Grizzlies, he called Rudy Gay "OJ Mayo" like 5-6 times, until he finally corrected himself. I mean WTF.

I'll be damned if that man isn't in the early stages of Alzheimer.
