Durant actually leads the league in scoring. Kobe 29.2, Durant 29.5

I think those stats are a little empty.

I'm with you that leading the league in scoring is not really that big of a deal, but Lakers are doing just fine when Kobe's on the court. If you can't believe that someone can be truly doing good work with a team struggling like this, then you need to dial down your interpretation of how much effect one man has.

Kobe's stats aren't fully empty, because he's trying so hard on the floor, but he's getting piss poor results. I don't think that's entirely his fault, though.
See you in the ring of honor, Nash.

When was the last time a guy averaging almost 30 ppg was left out of the ASG?

of course not! He (and the coach that allows him to) is the reason why maybe one of the best teams ever assembled has a below 0.500 record, routinley taking more shots than Gasol, Howard and Nash combined! Instead of taking the Celtics big 3 approach he is playing like he still had to trust Smush and Kwame, while playing worse defence (except for couple games in last weeks) than I would! For f sake, Steph Curry or Parker or somebody else far more deserving will be left out because of him!

how about you discuss?

why make this thread if you aren't going to give your opinion?

oh yeah, that's right. you're trolling.

of course the mods are probably too busy closing some thread that's actually decent to close this.

Considering the Lakers ORtg drops by 10 points/100 when Kobe is off the court, I'm calling BS on that one.

The Rockets lost 7 in a row and Harden hasn't been playing that well lately either. But I would start Harden simply because the game is in Houston.

I'm not a big fan of Kobe and have enjoyed watching the Lakers go down (Not to mention all the laughs and trolling  )... I also think Kobe is overrated as far as all time greats are concerned.

That being said, this is a pathetic excuse for a thread. OP, you should be ashamed of yourself for making this thread.

World B. Free missed it with 28.8ppg in 78-79. Tiny Archibald with 28.0 in 71-72. Purvis Short with 28.0 and Dominique with 27.4 were left off in 84-85. The most recent omission was probably Carmelo in 05-06 at 26.5. Doesn't happen too often.
