Lakers are 0-5 this season in games which Dwight either hurt (LAC) or re-injured (MEM tonight) his shoulder, or missed the game (3 other games).

If Howard is traded, the Lakers would definitely need some defensive help to shore up the middle. \

Or not, depending on how D'Antoni is feeling.
** Embiid is the only MVP in NBA history to never make a conference final
** Philly won multiple playoff games without MVP Embiid, including a 2nd-round game on the road
** LeBron missed the playoffs with Davis
** Steph missed the playoffs without Klay

Somewhere, Mike Brown and Stan Van Gundy are taking shots of tequila laughing their ass off at the Lakers/Dwight situation.

And Luke Walton is hanging out, just because, offering to do body shots off either of them.

Big men really do have to have some level of skill if they want to be a featured part of an offense though, really.

Nash: Lakers Not Committed To Vision Of Coaching Staff

Steve Nash cited a lack of commitment by players in the system as one of the reasons for the Los Angeles Lakers’ struggles this season.

"We're not all committing to what they want us to do," Nash said. "We're half stuck in our own, old ways. We have to stop thinking about our pasts and ourselves.”

Nash has searched for ways to turn things around.

"I just go home at night and lie awake trying to figure it out," he said. "I keep asking myself, 'What am I not doing?'"

Asked if the Lakers can reverse course, Nash said: "That's yet to be seen, I guess. I think we have a chance. Maybe not this year. Maybe it's next year. But we have a ton of talent and an organization with great history. If Dwight stays [after this season], we have the pieces. We just have to figure out how to put it all together."
