Does anyone think that missing the playoffs matters in his decision making?
Or, does he have his mind.....oh nevermind.

And no,...its not wishful thinking. The Dwightmare really affected the team last year and I don't think its going to happen in the end....again......so again, no I'm not cheering for a month of non stop rumors.

Just out:

http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/stor ... ght-howard

I think Dwight is gone. It makes sense from both sides, for LA and for Howard. LA can't let him walk, and I don't think Howard is happy with how things are going.

Like who?

Atlanta Dallas and Houston could all sign him if he doesn't stay in LA which is still hard to fathom.. Atlanta is his hometown and Dallas on his short list just last season. He's a rental to all of 5-6 teams.

I think he should finish the year up in LA, then come to Brooklyn for the MLE. He's already made enough money in his career. I'm sure he can get some ridiculous endorsement money in New York, and some international deals in Russia or something to make even more.

I'm just joking....kind of. If he wanted Brooklyn that bad like he says, then I don't see why he shouldn't do it.

Probably not.

Are you saying there aren't 25 teams in the NBA that want D12 on their team?

At the risk of them KNOWING he won't resign there, yes. Every GM knows this, which makes it a tough situation.

Sources: Dwight Howard unhappy with role

Post#27 » by Wilford Brimley » Wed Jan 23, 2013 4:09 am

The Los Angeles Lakers have consistently turned away trade inquiries in recent weeks for All-Star center Dwight Howard and still believe they have a strong chance of signing him to a new contract when Howard becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, according to sources close to the situation.

But sources told ESPN.com this week the Lakers might be forced to reconsider that position between now and the Feb. 21 trade deadline because of Howard's growing unhappiness with his role under coach Mike D'Antoni and the potential that raises for Howard leaving them in July without compensation.

Exactly.

At least in LAL they can sell him on the franchise, the culture, the city, the Playboy Mansion and the Hills, etc.

Some random team isn't going to deal for him because they pretty much know at that point he's walking to Houston, Dallas or even Atlanta and none of those teams have much of **** to give up for him now and wouldn't anyway either, because he can always be traded to one of those 3 and walk to another.

The only team that is going to give up a huge asset is Brooklyn, whether Brook and additional picks went to the Lakers or were re-routed and word is Brooklyn is on the fence big time if they'd even trade for him, whether that is BS to try and enhance leverage or truth.

Can you imagine?

D.Will / Taylor
JJ / Brooks
Crash / #1 / Toko
Howard / Hump / Evans
Lopez / Blatche

We upgrade a team on pace for fifty wins already by replacing Kris Humphries by Dwight Howard in the starting lineup. Then again, the Lakers thought that too. And Lopez and Gasol are somewhat similar.

Would people respect Dwight then? (If he took the mini MLE from a tax team of 3/9)
:)

If I am the Lakers, I trade him. He has not impressed me at all.

How do you max a guy and built your team around a player that is immature, doesn't live and breathe basketball like Kobe, and someone who you can't leave on the floor during crunch time. The Lakers have a history of signing/trading for superstars, they should use the cap space and get a true franchise player.
