Wasn't there a thread EXACTLY like this with the exact same message "OKC/Presti's one glaring mistake" like less than a week ago?

We don't need a Mullens thread every time he has a decent game, he's a scrub. No one cares if he's putting up stats on the Bobcats, it's Mullens .... hell, it's the BOBCATS!

All jokes aside, sure, he's improved, but put him on any team with 2 other competent big men and he wouldn't even sniff the court for more than 15 minutes...

He plays for the Bobcats...not against the Bobcats.

Any 7-ft center that shoots <39% from the field in 3 of his 4 NBA seasons is utter, complete garbage.

Presti's greatest mistake...

I can only assume OP must be Mullen's mom or girlfriend or something.

Mullens is horrible. It's exciting to see him have a good night or two but let's face the facts: he's a jump shooting big man who doesn't shoot well. Even after tonight he's under 33% on three pointers yet taking five of them a game. He's taking three shots from 16-23 feet a game and shooting 29% on those.

In fact: http://bkref.com/tiny/bNmgO

Mullens is 19th worst in eFG% out of 119 players who have shot 250 or more jumpers from 15+ feet this year.

The only thing Mullens has been okay at this year is rebounding.

Mullens plays the 4 mostly, for the record. He saw so little time in OKC that he considered last season as his rookie season. His improvement, while not eye-popping, has been commendable and I'd like Charlotte to keep onto him.

Mullens sucks. He's a "stretch" 4 that can't shoot, and all he does is shoot jumpers. He's below average at everything else.

2 things stick out to me about this thread......1, anybody saying Mullen's is garbage either is an idiot, haven't watched 1 minute of him play, or is just saying it to spite the OP. Dude can play he's like 22 and still progressing and as a bobcats fan IMO he is our best prospect he just needs to make better shot selections on his 3's and develop a better post game but he's got some serious talent. Guarantee he's gonna get offers this summer from some of these teams who fans are calling him garbage in this very thread.

And 2, I wish the OP would stop making these dumbass threads everytime he has a good game. He's a good prospect but he's not a franchise player. We got a player that can be pretty good if he continues to work hard, half the posters in this thread probably have never watched him or a whole bobcats game to realize what he is doing would translate to any team and not just the bobcats. And what's ur fascination with hating on Bargnani so hard, does he owe u money???

As a Bobcats fan, I do not love Mullens, but he is an athletic 7 footer, who can knock down outside shots and rebound. Yes his defense isn't great, but he is getting better and you can see the improvement.

I would like to see him on the block more and have better shot selection, but he is a young player with a unique skill set. If he played for the knicks, bulls or boston he would be getting hyped as a great young player even if he was only getting 15 minutes a game. Examples: Jimmy Butler, Jared Sullinger, and Copeland. Its all about exposure.

He helps with our spacing and allows for our guards to get to the hole easier. I just hope we dont have to overpay to keep him.

That is what I hate the most about this NBA.

7 footer camping behind the three point line and bricking three after three. If he could shoot them at least. Get your damn arse to the post or at least to mid range J.

...Is the OP joking? Major homer it seems. Bargnani's 4th yr vs. Mullens':

http://bkref.com/tiny/8baxf

Bargnani beats him more or less across the board outside of a few categories in per game, per min, and advanced stats.

Mullens at this point in his career is a talented, highly inefficient big man who needs to learn how to play the game.

He started the season injured; should have probably started on IR. As previously stated, look at his #'s since he's come back fully healthy.

Does a month count as "now and then"? For February, since he's finally healthy all season, he's putting up 18/9.

Then you sir are a fool.....Mullens is expected to put up shots on a team in search of both scoring and post players so no he isn't necessarily gonna put up great percentages and he also needs to work on his shot selection. But this is also a kid that spent like his first 2 yrs in the d-league and has made himself a certain rotation player on any team. Step away from the stats page that shows percentages and PERs and all that garbage and watch the kid play with your eyes.
