If (and that's a big huge "if") the Raptors were to make the playoffs, that likely means they're at around .500 winning % at season's end. To get to .500, they would have to go 18-8 or win about 70% of their remaining games.. Only MIA, OKC and the Spurs have better than .700 winning percentage.

Therefore, joke all you want, but if they can play at .700 pace for the rest of the season, that'd mean the Gay led team is that good and their chances of beating MIA would as good as, if not better than, any other Eastern team of beating MIA.

The team that has grabbed the 8th seed in the East has been below .500 for 6 of the last 10 years. The Bucks schedule down the stretch isnt favourable. The team that gets in this year will probably get in with 39 wins (at least thats my projection). The Raps will need to go 16-10 down the stretch to get there.....thats a .650 winning %. Difficult to do but not out of the question. That said, theres a difference between playing .650 ball for a couple months vs playing that over an entire season. If the Raps make the playoffs, they should be viewed as a .500 team, not .650.

The Raptors are a totally different team with Rudy Gay. I think it's fair to view them as what they are post- Rudy Gay trade.

You don't see Knicks fans laughing at themselves as a defensive mechanism. They might never win a championship, but their fan base ain't losers.

The fact that so many raptors fans are willing to do this is pathetic. You might think you laughing at yourself makes u more likable to the rest of the league... But they are probably viewing us as jokes right now.

Seriously though, I can't get over what a strange terrible post this is. It makes no sense.

Fair enough, but you have to have a balance. They have played a lot better but you have to take into a lot of factors into account.

The Raptors are superior to the Heat in all aspects of the game including color commentators and camera men. While Heat broadcasts will be "all intelligent" with fancyboy game analysis and your producers choosing cameras focussed on the play, our team will show how it's down with camera shots on "white nose guy" and discussions of how great it was to play in Syracuse.

We're all out of the closet now man!

Well ya know something Mean Gene!? The question is not if, it is when the raptors make the playoffs, how will they do vs the heat, brother? This Raptor team is an unstoppable force brother, very similar to Hulkamania in his prime, brother. This series reminds the Hulkster a lot of his match against Andre The Giant at WM 3, brother. Everybody thought that Andre couldn't be beat, that the Hulkster had no chance, except the Hulkamaniacs, brother.

All the Hulkamaniacs know that just like The Hulkster slammed Andre, the Raptors would slam the Heat in a short first round series. Chris Bosh, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, watchya gonna do, watchya gonna do when the Raptors run wild on you!?

Maybe the Raptors can win a game or two against the Heat, but I think all those games are going to be tough. Every team that has went up against us since the trade have raved about how tough we are. Sure the Heat could win the series 4-1, but it's not going to be an easy 4-1 IMO.

Also, the last time Toronto played Miami, Aaron Gray grabbed 2 rebounds in 6 minutes. Go ahead and extrapolate that. I'll wait.

Miami would absolutely destroy the Raptors in a playoff series. It would get absolutely ugly.

It would be so ugly that it would force the Raptors to relocate from Toronto right?

Your team was forged from the tears of children who live in cities without beaches in February. You don't get to talk sh*t.

I can care less how it was formed. It doesn't change the fact the Heat would demolish the Craptors in a series.
