Why because you're a Denver fan?

Shaq is awesome. He is funny and has a great personality.
He was definitely not good on the show at first but he is light years better now that he has gotten comfortable being on the set and has developed chemistry with the other guys.

The show is just as good as its ever been if not better.
The majority of people who say they don't like him on the show just don't Shaq.
They lack objectivity.

Ratings for the show are higher then they've ever been which shows people like the new format and he has a multi-year contract so he'll be there for along time.

Quit whining and learn to enjoy him people or quit watching the show.
It's pretty simple.

It's not really funny to make fun of someone who is too dumb to defend himself. Gets old real fast. The real fun is between Shaq and Sir Charles who have just enough brain cells to maintain a mildly amusing back-and-forth.

It is funny because I do enjoy Shaq, just not on Inside The NBA. He is fine on NBATV, but he becomes overbearing when he is on a panel.

I miss actual basketball insight. Shaq has nothing to add other than all Centers need to average 28/15. If I wanted to watch someone smash cake into their teeth and say "look at me" I would visit my 4-year old nephew and bring him a Little Debbie.

As far as McGee goes, I have no stake in him being embarrassed. I am a Bulls fan, but that doesn't mean that I cannot empathize that he is tired of being highlighted for his mistakes every week.

That isn't completely true.

While obviously Shaq isn't constantly dropping knowledge if you follow the show he does occasionally drop some real gems about the game.
Behind the scenes type stuff which normally none of us fans would ever know about.

Also if you watch him analyze certain players or things he usually says some stuff which is completely true and intelligent even if he also says a thing or two which is off base.

And yeah sometimes he'll just blatantly troll or whatever but whatever its usually funny and can be ignored.
If I wanted to watch someone smash cake into their teeth and say "look at me" I would visit my 4-year old nephew and bring him a Little Debbie.

Cherry picking one moment. No one is perfect.
Ernie, Kenny and Charles also do stuff occasionally which is annoying or makes the show awkward.

It's all about the one guy in this thread desperately trying to convince us that Shaq's juvenile humor is funny, as if, a) humor is objective and b) the popular opinion is that Shaq is funny and we're all either trolls or in the minority.

Shaq is such a wannabe Barkley its getting ridiculous, except Barkley is funny and doesn't even have to try hard.

Shaq is a goddamn fool, and as ridiculous as Javale can be sometimes, I'm glad he's aware enough of his mistakes to stand up for himself.

And he's right, Shaq is a bully. I think that word gets thrown around way too much, but it applies here. The guy is about as funny as Biff from Back to the Future.

This is correct.
The fact that the show's rating have improved with Shaq pretty much prove that.

Liver_Pooty wrote:Shaq is such a wannabe Barkley its getting ridiculous, except Barkley is funny and doesn't even have to try hard.

Shaq has his own distinct personality.
He doesn't try to imitate Barkley.

He also has a great natural sense of humor.
While he was a "try hard" at first he no longer is most of the time.

Obviously he isn't a natural the way Barkley is though.

Scraptor wrote:And he's right, Shaq is a bully.

Yeah I am sure Shaq was trying to be mean and bully McGee with his segment rather then just provide entertainment and make people laugh.

Base on the serious level of nut-hugging, you must either be Shaq, or the ugly chick that he is with.

According to that logic, Twilight must be hilarious.

Twilight?

The point is that if everyone hated Shaq on the show the ratings would suffer and they haven't.

Most people I know enjoy his personality, think he is funny and for the most part enjoy him on the show.

He still is far from perfect and at times does stuff which is bad but for the most part now his chemistry with the others is good and he is a positive contributor on the show.

If you think differently that is fine. I don't expect everyone to like the same things.
Some people will like him and others wont.

I would hardly say the majority feel the same as you do though.
