What a hook! Most NBA players don't know how to throw a punch, but this seemed powerful. Plumlee would have gone down if it connected.

I can't believe he would really throw that consciously...

No way that was a celebration. If Lebron did this there would be a 20, maybe even 50 page thread. I like Val but this is classless and inexcusable. He knew exactly what he did, look at his reaction to Morris if you still don't think so.

Jonas is very lucky Plumlee was falling backwards. In the gif it looks like he was trying to hit him, but in the video showing the whole sequence it looks like celebratory air punch

A really disgraceful move from a player I like. This should be a multiple game suspension. The malice aforethought and the viciousness demand a real response and punishment. Really ugly.

That second look has me puzzled as well. But then the third look is that he (JV) backs off straight away, if he swung in an act of aggression he would have been in Miles' face? Very tricky one to judge. I am giving JV the benefit of the doubt. If not, Hansbrough will deal internal justice no doubt:

An expression used in boxing is "thrown with bad intentions." To me, that elbow absolutely looked like it was thrown with seriously bad intentions.

Well can't claim he doesn't have a mean streak...

That's seriously a KO punch that just missed (probably the best form I've seen from a NBA player) but honestly even as a Raptor fan I can't deny that even though it missed it warrants a game suspension. If that would have connected it would have been pretty vicious. The young guy has to keep his emotions in check.

It wasn't a celebration and it wasn't on purpose. JV has a habit of clearing space with his elbows after grabbing a rebound. This was a get off me move. After the dunk their legs got tangled and at 5 seconds you can see he landed off-balanced. While gathering himself and trying to move Plumlee off him it made it look very bad, but not intentional.

He looks directly at Miles after violently "clearing space" and even nudges Morris lightly on his way to the other end.

There is nothing based on that clip that tells me it wasn't accidental. And if by some chance connecting a shot wasn't his intent, and this IS what he usually does, he's a freaking moron either what and needs to be fined before someone gets hurt out there and things escalate.
