This season of his will go down as one of the best ever seasons from a wing. What I want to ask you guys is what do you make of him missing the 30 PER and .300 WS/48 thresholds? I ask because often 30 PER and/or .300 WS/48 are used as cutoffs for historic seasons a lot of the time. Of course, this doesn't take anything away from KD but does this mean we should reevaluate the 30 PER and/or . 300 WS/48 benchmarks? It also goes to show how difficult it is to maintain 30 PER over the course of a season and at one point of time it looked like he was going to shatter 31 PER and .320 WS/48 easily. What do you guys think?
It tells you how historic those other seasons are. Durant was ridiculous, and for a 2-3 month stretch, it was indeed historic. 35ppg for that long stretch on ridiculous efficiency. He cooled down at the end, but his season is still one of the best ever.
But hopefully people will calm down about this season being better than Lebron's best seasons. It's not.
