On top of all this, no one will overpay Bledsoe next year because they want cap space for their Durant and LeBron pipe dreams in 2016.

Some statements are so ridiculous they should result in a timeout, so the poster can sit in a corner and think about what he wrote.

Ain't nobody going to the max for Bledsoe. Until he shows he can play ONE full season as the lead guard without getting injured.

Hayward and Parsons don't have the same injury concerns or history as Beldsoe. Giving guys max contracts when they can't stay healthy is how you end up with Amar'e Stoudemire type deals.

He means that a team can sign him away from the Suns because they won't match the offer.

Hayward has put in his work. Bledsoe is more talented, but Hayward has shown he'll stay on the court to at least work for the money. Bledsoe's got a realistic chance to be getting paid while on the bench. Huge difference.

Lowry signed for 48/4years. Steph Curry signed for the same amount last year. I guess it's just this season where players have outrageous expectations.

bledsoe had 17.7/5.5/4.7

Oops you're right! I was looking at per 36. Posting at 4am problems

That just highlights how similar their number were even more.

Phx offered 4/48, he wants 5/80.

Big fan of Bledsoe so i think he's worth it.

But most of the teams with cap room cant go for him now.

He's not worth the max. I don't see how being a big fan of someone would make you think something that isn't true, but to each his own for sure. Most of the teams that had the cap room thought the Suns would be matching any deal which is why he was never really courted .I don't think ANY of them thought he would be seeking the max (not even Phoenix thought that), and highly doubt the teams that did have cap room would have offered him close to it anyway.

At max money, he's no good to you if he can't play almost every game. He may end up having to take his Qualyfing Offer and try to prove himself again next season.

Staying healthy should not be the only or defining criteria for a max player. The guy is simply better than Parsons and Hayward. They can both stay healthy but look at everything from advanced numbers to raw stats. Neither Parsons or Hayward are max players.

Why are we trying to have standards when it comes to Bledsoe but no standards with Hayward and Parsons?

Are there any teams left to give him the max besides Phoenix?

Philly I believe and that's it.

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Who here wasn't blasting the fact that Hayward and Parsons got max contracts.

Even those who agreed with Utah re-signing Hayward thought he was overpaid, just that the Jazz had the financial flexibility to overpay and there wasn't anyone better they could overpay.

That is just silly conjecture on the OP's part. The max Blesdoe can get from any other team is 4/$63M. As a restricted free agent, that is the highest amount he can "demand" from Phoenix without getting laughed off the negotiating table.

80/5 is the same as 64/4 yearly.

I think Suns would be fine to give him an extra year at the same price. They just don't think he's worth more than 12/mi yearly.

That's because 80/5 is not the max.

Other teams can offer 63/4, the Suns could offer 85.7/5 and that last year would pay him 19.7.

20.3 points/ 5.8 assists / 3.3 rebounds / 46.9 FG% / 44.2 3FG%
Would you give Mike James 5/80m too?
