He's a shooter who didn't shoot well last year, is another year older on top of already being old and you have to try and hide him on defense because well, he can't defend.

The phone must be going crazy.

So you're saying he should get paid more because of what he's done in the past?

Nope. He said he won't play for the minimum - his choice. He doesn't need to play.

Just retire Ray. You're not worth more than the Vet.

I expect Ray to change his stance in about 2-3 days from now. He'll probably release a statement saying, "You know what, I've always thought Cleveland is a great city and have heard nothing but positive things about its people, and I'm looking forward to finish my career there. "
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

He probably will. He might only be worth vet min at this point. At that point, not worth it to Play.

He is almost 40. He might want to golf, eat and spend some of that money instead of grinding out the NBA.

LOL. Ray is one of the best guys in the whole league. Seriously, if you think he's a D-Bag you might as well stop watching professional sports because they go downhill from him.

I love Ray Allen as a player and for He Got Game but I think this is one of the common misconceptions in the NBA... I don't see him as a "nice guy" like Shane Battier, Jeremy Lin, Jose Calderon, etc. He does have a pretty big ego and it's come out many times.. but for some reason that has never changed his reputation

He couldn't make a difference last June on a stacked Heat team.

What good will he do on Cleveland in the Finals.

He won't be depended on anywhere near as much for Cleveland I imagine as he was in Miami.

I think he will take it with the Cavs for a shot at a title.

There's gotta be a few out there.

Spurs and Clippers enter the mix. Neither have cap space. Do they have MLE?

Also Dallas is in there.

Spurs are pretty much the only contender with the anything more than the vet min. They have the full MLE and I think the Bi-Annual too.

Allen on the Spurs could be very, very dangerous. I might like their chances to repeat if they make that match.

If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

As a Spurs fan I'd take him, but I'm not really sure he'd be a huge piece in the playoffs. He's a great shooter, but we have plenty of great shooters who are better defenders. I'd happily give him Belinellis minutes though
