Kings, maybe this is the year Cousins becomes too good for the Kings to totally suck. Maybe they don't make the playoffs but they could start to look like a team.

Gay Cousins is a nice combo
Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna

Los Angeles Lakers is my pick. The trio of Lin/Boozer/Kobe is too much for many teams in the league to handle. And don't forget Kelly and flashy Nick Young.

I like all the Wizard fans coming in here to downplay us. I guess they've conveniently forgotten that they're 2-6 against us the last two years.

Experience almost always rules the day.

Look at who make it last year.

In the East, it would be easier for a younger team to make it because that division is rebuilding.

In the West, there is to much established experience.
True and Pelicans are inexperienced but they have a few vets too. However I don't think there is much between the teams near the bottom. Look at Portland don't think many saw them doing what they did along with the suns. Also both young teams who surprised many.

Me too. I think Lin is going to surprise a lot of people this year. McBob came into his own last year...I think he is going to thrive in MIA.

Jared Sullinger is waking everyone's azz up as an 18 point 12 rebound monster
The next David West only better. (please god).
One day Marcus Smart will be defensive player of the year, mark my words.

I think the knicks and boston will be some sleeper teams in the east for sure. I could see one or both of them sneaking into the bottom half of the playoffs possibly.

as for boston, I see sullinger, olynyk, turner (YES evan turner), and tyler zeller as sleepers

new york, hoping to see amare bounce back a bit. if healthy, I think he could be a sleeper. also like the addition of jose calderon. he is definitely a solid vet pg for that team; good player.

I think the Hawka are overrated from the standpoint that they were like 3rd in the East last year before the injuries so everyone holds onto that but the East at that time may have been the worst conference ever. Thats another reason why Indy & Mia were killing it. By mid to late season though there were a ton of East teams that were much better then when they started. The Wiz came on strong, Bobcats, BK, Toronto after the Gay trade, the Bulls got a ton better, etc...

Teams like NY had a horrible year but should be better this year. The Cavs will be elite. I thnk the Hawks can make the playoffs but I dont think they are on that 2nd tier with the other teams

Overrated?!!?, I think that Hawks is underrated for alot of reasons. Sure, they didnt make a splash in FA but they did resigned all of their players (for very good and decent contracts) and if Sefolosha and Bazemore can contribute, then it can shore up one of the Hawks weakness and give them a very nice rotation thought the lineup. Plus if Payne, Schröder (doing a great job for Germany this year), Antic, Carroll and Scott contiunes to develop then this team could be going place. (might be higher if Teague become Playoff Teague all season and Milsap contiune to be a 5-tool guy and workin on that higher contract.) Plus this is year 2 of Coach Bud motion five-out offense that was very awesome at times and doing it without Horford who was avg 18/9 before the injury. Are the Hawks elite, No but this team has upward mobility and maybe they might be lapped by Hornets, Wiz or Toronto but it be very very foolish to count them out.

I see Klay Thompson breaking out even more this year. Team USA experience will really help him.

 Oh yeah, because Utah would be setting records up the ying yang if they were in the east...

they were ranked dead last in their conference, 25th offensively, 29th defensively, 12-18 vs Eastern teams...

Outside of Favors (I'm a fan and I like the contract) and Exum, they have Hayward (overpaid/overrated you decide), Kanter (potential bust factor), Burke (decent player but nothing special),and spare parts.

They dont have the prospects in comparison to the other tankings teams in the league (former Cavs, Philly, Bucks, Wolves, Pelicans) they aren't a hot FA destination, and dont have any blue chip prospects with superstar potential.

Oh and my sleeper teams are - NY, they clearly had an injury riddled down year. Defense aside, Having Calderon run the point should lead to better looks for others, Bargnani and Amare in contract years (maybe one of them can do something), JR smith smithing it up.

NO - I think the addition of Asik may have a similar impact to that of R Lopez on the Blazers. Having Davis as a PF means less banging, less injurys and better defense.

Sleeper players are

G. Antetokounmpo - full year with hopefully starters minutes. hoping 12ppg 6ppg 2-3apg 1spg 1bpg

Lin - hoping a fresh start, little spot light and hopefully not a minute split should help his production

Dieng - Please or please give this man some minutes. He produced well last year when given a shot

Did I even mention Utah? Great argument, bro. I know your team is good for like, the first time in a decade, but you don't gatta be attacking people like that.

My hypocrite spider sense is tingling. Maybe next time you shouldn't put down an entire conference. In reference to your silly comment, when did I bring up the Raptors? lol
