On a per-100,000 basis:

All arrests (2014)
NBA.....2148
NFL.....1974
MLB......398
NHL......205

Domestic-violence arrests
NBA.....412.5
NFL.....241.0
MLB......42.7
NHL......37.9

5 Yr average has the NFL on top by quite a bit....

you should add how many players are in each league. pretty sure nfl could be like 10x the nba

The rates are already normalized for the number of players in the league: "On a per-100,000 basis"

how many NFL players are carrying convictions into the draft and still get drafted. its a joke that now they want to say they care about image. Besides convictions is a better stat to look at than arrests. Anyone can be arrested for just standing somewhere or not moving fast enough or anything.

On the other hand, Ray Rice's case doesn't even count as a conviction, since his charges were dropped.

Click the link, the Nba has had two really bad years and the rest are (as nicely as I can say this) "pretty tame," it's kinda weird......Stern knows where the skeletons are buried.

Take a look at 2012. The NBA had a rate almost as low as the MLB. I wonder why there was such good behavior that year?

eh not all boxers or Floyd Mayweather or Adonis Stevenson when it comes to criminal records. You have a lot of international boxers keeping it clean to bring the average down.
