Better Record/Deeper post season run: Bulls or Clippers?
These two teams seem to be the teams that will be close too the top of their conference, but people seem to waiver on their label as contenders( When compared to the Spurs, Thunder and Cavs)
So two questions:
1. Who has the better overall record this season?
2. Who has the deeper post season run?

If Rose stays healthy it should be the Bulls on both points. It's not hard to see a scenario where the Clippers get knocked out in the first round.

Both will be in the mid to high fifties but I see the Clippers squeaking out a couple more wins. I think the Clippers are a 2nd round out as usual, Bulls will either be 2nd round or ECF appearance, I think so while its possible they both go out in the 2nd round I see the Bulls making it farther.

Clippers are a better team even with a healthy Rose
But the Bulls have an easier time in the East

Personally I'd have to go with the Bulls on both counts. I see them both being high 50 wins, but I don't see the Clippers making the conference finals, whiles I don't see any team stopping Chi from getting there

As others have said, really depends on Rose's health but assuming he is well I have to go with Bulls on both counts.

If Chris Paul learns to be aggressive offensively for 4 quarters in the playoffs, the Clippers could beat anyone. If he picks and chooses his spots as usual, they'll be out in round 2. The Bulls should make it to at least the ECF with a healthy Rose. Tons of question marks on both sides.

Re: Better Record/Deeper post season run: Bulls or Clippers?
I feel like people are overrating just how much offense thee Bulls eed to be a dominant team
I'll tell you why I belive that
In 2014: 30th in the league in PPG: 28th in the league in Offensive rating (Without Rosé or Gasol)
But they were 1st in the league in opponents points per game and 2nd in defensive rating
They ended up winning 48 games
In 2013 they were: 29th in PPG and 23rd in offensive rating
The ended up winning 45 games
So to me, Rose and Noah don't have to be closed to their 2011 forms for the Bulls to dominate. They just have to be consistent enough offensive threats to lead Chicago to be at least a middle of the pack defensive team. Remember in 2011 when they won 62 games they were 20th in the league in PPG and were 11th in the league in offensive rating.
So my way of thinking is that if their defense has shown that it can produce 45-48 wins by itself, whiles the Bulls were close to dead last in offensive production, then as long as Pau/Noah/Rose are consistent offensive threats then that will be more than enough to get them and addition 8-12 wins. I don't think they have to be close to their 2011 levels. Just good enough to make a league worse offense, averge at least, because their defense can carry them to everything else.

Re: Better Record/Deeper post season run: Bulls or Clippers?
Clippers are a better team to me but it's possible Bulls are going to have both higher odds to go deeper due to being in the East.
That said hopefully clippers get to at least the conference finals.

That's fair enough. They have to prove they can do it. I just feel they have everything in place to get it done. I do feel hca could be big this year. I like what clips have done this summer with rivers in his 2nd year it should make them even better.
Both spurs are okc are amazing teams so it will be damn tough that's for sure.

Re: Better Record/Deeper post season run: Bulls or Clippers?
Taking into account that most consider at least 3 of the 4 best teams in the league to be in the West (SAS, OKC, LAC), and that last season, the East #1 and #2 would have been #4 and #5 in the West, the Bulls if fully healthy, as of now, without us seeing any other Eastern team rise to being a "very good" team (Miami's roster isn't bad if they have decent health), odds wise, they are more likely to go further in the playoffs.
Record wise, with decent health on both sides, the Clippers should have the better record. The East is still a favorable place for a very good team to at least make the conference finals, especially one that can year in and year out defend like the Bulls.

If Griffin dominates the league this season then you never know. I think it was clear as of last season that Griffin has become the best player on the team, and the best 4 in the nba

Fair point. Ad has a level of potential much higher than nearly every other player in the league

Clippers.
Bulls.
Not impossible for the Clippers to make the WCF's but so many hard matchups out West while minus Cle, there isnt many hard matchups in the East.
Depends on Rose's health mostly though.
