Can also do the 5 team option for $50 less.

The 5 team package for the whole season is only $50?

No, $150. I meant $50 less than the $199 one.

Why?

Because if they were hosted in the US the people that run ballstreams would probably see jail time, but they're hosted somewhere that allows for copyright infringement or at least doesn't enforce it. Ballstreams is, essentially, illegal paid service. Albeit a high quality one, and better than League Pass.

League Pass will likely become a lot better once the new TV deal comes into play. Hopefully a lot of the blackouts and restrictions will be lifted, as the last time they worked out a TV deal the NBA had a bunch of restrictions written in really before online viewing was as big as it is now.

Uh, yeah, giving out your credit card number to criminals is probably not wise. There are free illegal sites out there, so no need to risk your credit card number on paid illegal sites. Let's be careful out there.

I have considered NBA League Pass in the past but they don't show games of your local team so what's the point. I'd rather pay but that's the way the cookie crumbled so no money for anyone.

Watching NBA games on the non-ballstreams sites is painful. Quality is garbage and if you're interested in streaming the feeds to a TV you may as well be watching an 8-Bit nintendo game.

If you want to watch a local NBA game you have four options:

1 - Buy a cable/satelite subscription
2 - Use Ballstreams
3 - Buy League Pass and use a VPN service (Unlocator is awesome because it's dead simple and you can apply it directly to your router)
4 - Buy LP (I would recommend International because it's cheaper) and use the free Chrome plugin Hola to spoof your browser IP. I bought MLB.tv and used it all year to watch local broadcasts. I'm doing the same to watch NFL games.

I am going to be purchasing a PS4 soon. Does anyone know if NBA League Pass is available for the PS4 like it is for the Xbox One?

THE BEST WAY...is too ask a friend who still has his cable subscription and ask for his user n password to watch live online. Time warner in los angeles, u can watch lakers game online thru the lakers channel. Also downloaded watch espn app n you can watch live anything on espn, espn 2, n espn 3 through your friends cable provider.

In return I gave him my netflix and user password.

I got sick of paying such a high cable bill so cut the cord about 16 months ago n just got Internet service. Bought 3 roku's and 3 antennas for my 3 tvs n never looked back. Dont miss it at all.

Sports is the challenge. So you must befriend a friend willing to give you his online access. ;)

Probably because the more attention it gets, the more likely it becomes to be shutdown by the nba's overlords.

How much power does the NBA have on the government in the Netherlands?

Good thing they didn't pass SOPA because one of the main purposes of it was to prevent this method of bypassing domestic copyright laws.

The blackout thing for league pass uses your IP address. So if you use one of myriad of way to make league pass think you don't live where you are, you can get local games. I have a friend who did this last year and it worked.

For $50 more you get so much more, better off just getting the premium.

Here you go!

To hell with NBA league pass. This website gives you all the links you want and is from Europe. I don't think it's the best, but I rather go down this road than get hustled.

considering league pass for this season, but the blackout policy sounds ridiculous... is league pass basically useless during the playoffs since almost all the games are nationally televised??

All they have to do is launch a copyright appeal in London (where most specialised copyright judges/courts reside in Europe). I had a good long look at the service and decided it was probably going to be too high profile this season to sustain. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see it plucked off the net.

Use something like Hola and change your location to Argentina, where you can get LP for $90 with no blackouts so long as you connect through an international country.

Probably a lot more trouble than it is worth to the NBA going after some dude's from the Netherlands

Most internet providers that package internet/tv/phone are 100 range. Paying almost 200 for a sports package program is a ripoff  .

If you go the LP broadband route, pay a few bucks extra and do the 5 payment method. This way you can cancel your subscription once you realize how bad it is, and not have to pay for the rest of the year.

After dealing with the constant freezing of the stream (it's like the 24 second clock, but every 5 seconds) and having three teams blacked-out, it just wasn't worth it.
Hey you! Can we come together?

What's the point of league pass if you can't see your own team!!!! So stupid. I don't have cable and I would throw money at league pass without hesitation IF I could see my own team!
