I love the Spurs, always have. Though I was torn when the Rockets played them in those memorable playoff games I was glad that they won 5 championships since then. They showed the NBA how to play rather than showboat in a game of basketball.

I like the Spurs. I actually work with some die hard spurs fans and don't live in San Antonio, so I can attest to the fact that they are out there. I think the way the play the game right now is the most exciting style in the NBA. I'm pretty traumatized as a Heat fan now after the way that team played last year. Good grief. I've never seen anything like it, and I've been watching the NBA since 88-89.

OP you realize that not every team's fanbase is centered on RealGM, right.. it is for the Raptors but not necessarily for other teams.

For example compare the RealGM Spurs forum to SpursTalk, which is their most popular fan site with millions of posts. Or the Rockets, their RealGM forum is somewhat scant but ClutchFans.com has been around for almost 20 years and has a huge amount of traffic.

I cheered for them because they were against Lebron. If they make the Finals again this year and they're against, let's say the Bulls? I'll probably root for the Bulls. Call me a Lebron hater, but I get a kick seeing his fail. And also my bothers in law are huge Lebron nut huggers, so seeing them so down when Lebron fail is so awesome.

Spurs fans know their team is good so there's nothing to talk about. Plus San Antonians need time to eat.

I like how the team plays and it is hard to hate Pop but the casual Spurs fans are what bother me. In Houston, there are the die hard Spurs fans that will watch every game and I respect that. When they get to the playoffs, all of a sudden people who were previously cheering on Rockets during the season were all of a sudden Spurs fans and act like they were the entire season. Even worse, the people that don't watch basketball at all but during playoffs they are all of a sudden Spurs experts and just talk mess to hear themselves talk. I find it funny though and ask them questions about the team to make it obvious that they know nothing about basketball. Spurs are the only team I see this problem with but its better than Mavs fans....jk
