I think an achilles tear is far worse than a broken leg - but then I am no doctor.

Hope he gets better soon. An early injury can really cripple a rookie's confidence (like Bennett last year)

I've honestly never seen anything like this happen to a team. So many injuries the past few years..... Bad bad voodo.

Danggg. I really like Randle. I feel bad for all you LAL fans. It always sucks to see a rookie go down. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

What I don't get is how he broke it. He jumped and hit his leg from behind with his other leg and it wiggled in mid ait. How does this happens?

Sucks for the young fella, but a break over a tear any day right? Should be ok.

Yeah it's definatley a broken leg. You see it band... What **** news!! He's really the reason why I'm wanting to even watch the Lakers. poor guy and this being his first game, I hope he can get enough confidence to grow. But I hope for a speedy good recovery and look forward to next season with him and Jahlil Okafor :)

I'd say Portland having Oden and Roy ripped out of their hands before they could really accomplish anything was pretty devastating..... who knows what that team could have accomplished if Roy/Oden never got hurt and fulfilled their potentials.

i thought i saw the leg bend slightly, so i'm guessing it's a break. hopefully it's clean.

Hopefully, it's just the break and no soft tissue damage. Sucks for the rook, sucks for the Lakers. Not really much else to say about it but best wishes for a quick and full recovery.

Lots of teams have gone through this sort of thing. Remember the Roy/Aldridge/Oden era of the Blazers? No? There's a reason for that.

The Lakers may have it bad lately but other teams have gone through worse. Lakers fans just got too used to things working out for them that the last few seasons seem unbearable and unfair.

Anyway I do hope the big man recovers well. Hate seeing injuries like that.

Edit: incase I came off as bitter that wasn't my intent. Only that while maybe it's not something the Lakers deal often but it's not uncommon to see a team plagued with injuries for a few years. Lakers will recover, and so will Randle hopefully.
