I have the Thunder starting 1-8, with a possibility of 0-9. Schedule is brutal and they are without their big guns.

Good luck. (c) Chris Webber

If they can't dress enough guys to play, they have to call people from their D-League team.

This opens the door for the 9th-ish teams in the West.

Seems like Danny Green returned in 3 ish weeks.

February 3, 2014

SAN ANTONIO - Danny Green (nondisplaced fracture of second metacarpal, left hand) will play in tonightā€™s Spurs-Pelicans game. Green, who has missed the previous 10 games, was originally injured on Jan. 12 vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves.

this is just some bullcrap

really hope Durant stays out til his foot is ready.
you for sure don't want to rush a foot. he's gotta be willing to tank the season if it takes that

Could you imagine having to play OKC as an 8 seed in the first round? :o

If the Thunder manage to hold on and get the 8th, Pop is going to do some stealth tanking to avoid the #1.

Congrats Warriors on the 1 seed!

If OKC is in play for the 7th/8th seed in April, you're going to see some very creative tanking from the Western Conference elite to avoid a series with them.

Someone posed the question several weeks back- "Will an 8th seed ever defeat a 1 seed again?"

...these OKC injuries are setting up the scenario.

The west is brutal.

Losing maybe 15-20 games without ur star players and other various role players could lock them out of the playoffs. When their players return from injuries they will have a mountain to climb and they cant win every game.....

At this point I don't think the Thunder make the playoffs.

Who gets hurt tomorrow?

Whoever it is, I'd just put every remaining healthy OKC player's name in a hat, and bet on the one you draw. Even though OKC doesn't play tomorrow, I'm sure someone will find a way to get injured.
Said in a thread about which point guards would make OKC better if they replaced Westbrook:

Hmm well this is basically the opposite of true. They've been hit with injuries to key players the last two playoff runs. Serge injury was costly last year and westbrook cost them the year before. Also Russell was out a lot of last season. They've been as unlucky as anyone.

Sucks for OKC and they may well be a lottery team this year.
Everyone should want their team to beat the best the opposition can put on the table.
Plus it is unfortunate that OKC lacks any quality depth.

Yeah well thats on them. Theyev done nothing to improve that team the last couple of season. Besides obviously natural progression of the big three but they are pretty quite in the off season.

Westbrook has basically turned from an ironman into the most injury prone player in the league.

Terrible news for bball fans in general but OKC fans? wow. Feel really bad for that team, had terrible luck the last 3 years with injuries at inopportune times.

I remember a few years ago when the Blazers were all injured McMillon practiced and got hurt too and even their beat writer got hurt. Brooks and the OKC writers should even be watching where they step

Freak injury, has nothing to do with being injury prone. Give me a break.
