And to think people (in the media) wanted Parker to play more minutes. This is why you have to bring rookies along slowly. They are playing more minutes/games than they've ever played in their lives. Hope he comes back better and stronger than ever.

Bucks fans keep your heads up. Man this sucks.

unfortunately its easier to tear an ACL than you'd think. All it takes is just planting or cutting in a wrong way/direction. Many times there non contact as well.

Minutes have nothing do with what happened here. Everyone's body isn't the same and everyone's body reacts differently.

All we can take away from this is his body is more fragile than we believed.

I don't think this has anything to do with minutes or with him being fragile. Torn ACLs in sports are usually more about freak accidents than anything else. He moved awkwardly, it was more a fluke.

If he continues at this pace he's going to have the lowest PER ever for a ROY winner by a considerable margin then. Right now Mike Miller holds that distinction with a 13.2 PER, Wiggins has a 9.5...

A knee sprain is the same as a torn ligament (whether a minor 1st degree tear, or a fully torn 3rd degree). Sprain is the location, but doesn't talk about severity as all, same as how a sprained ankle can be a minor tear of one ligament, or a complete blowout of 6+ ligaments.

So what you just said could mean "I hope he blew out his knee and fully tore his MCL ACL PCL and LCL", or "I hope he just had a minor tear on one of his ligaments." Saying you hope he tweaked it minorly might've been a better call.

I was just going by what one of the Bucks personel said, but thanks Google.

Just sayin' doesn't make sense to hope for something that could be anywhere along a wide spectrum. Un-coincidentally you were right that his knee was sprained.

Probably more about age then rookie or not.

Wall and Beal were both injured their first two year. Both game out of the draft very young. Otto Porter missed most of his first year. Again, came out of the draft very young.

The transition from college to pro is pretty huge. I agree. Teams need to bring these player along slower.

Just study the video tape. There's nothing you can do to stop players from landing awkwardly.

On another note, why is everyone so pro-resting players nowadays? I just don't get it. Injuries will happen whether players play 1000 minutes or 10. Also this is part of the reason they get paid so much, because of the risk.

This is terrible news, but he'll be back 100%. A torn ACL is not a devastating injury nowadays, especially since he has no prior knee issues.

Gordon most likely isn't out for season, he might be back late january or around the All-Star break.

Crappy news, had just wised up to how entertaining these bucks are.

He will be fine by training camp next year, acl surgeries have a pretty good rate of full recovery these days.

Also, Wiggins had a higher scoring average before Parker went down.

Efficiency: Performing or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort.

Wiggins wastes a lot of possessions to score those points.
