What kind of reception will LeBron receive in Miami?

I am curious to see what kind of response he will get. I would think mostly cheers but wouldn't be surprised to hear some boos mixed in.

Not sure. Will Miami fans even show up for the game?

Very good question. He didn't leave Miami like he did Cleveland, and I would think reasonable fans would recognize that it was a the "right thing to do," so to speak.

Having said that, the way the Miami fans are, I expect boos.

The fans won't get to decide. The arena guy responsible for the fake fan noise they pump in will decide between the boo or cheer track.

Bandwagon fans will be split mostly cheers, the hardcore 2 or 3 Miami Heat fans will certainly boo him,

I'm a hardcore fan who would applaud him if I was there. The guy left his team to join us, delivered championships as promised, then left. I appreciate his efforts for the franchise.

They probably won't be there until the 2nd quarter so probably not much of one.

But seriously, its a pretty unprecedented situation. He basically rented himself to them for 4 years and they got 2 titles.

He better get standing O.

From listening to sports radio, I think most will cheer before the game and start the booing when the game starts when he touches the ball.

Respect what he did here, but when that game whistle blows, he is the enemy.

This is the most reasonable response.

Personally I'll always look at him like a mercenary, but I don't hate him or have ill will towards him. He did awesome things for our team, and we had 4 great years. Gotta appreciate that.

Hopefully they have some respect for what he did for them and cheer him. When the game starts it's anyone's game. He's on the other team, it's not unreasonable to boo him then.

I expect mild cheers and mixed in boos before the game and light boos throughout the game unless there is a highlight.

It won't be anywhere near as negative as his Cleveland return. IMO his exit from Miami was no different than when he left Cleveland. Except the media spin/national perception were different. His actions weren't. I also don't beleive the negative response in 2010 was justified. It won't be justified now either. I personally wouldn't give him a standing ovation. I'd boo him and all he cavs equally all game, no different than I'd treat any other team. No worse. Thanks for the last 4 years but this year is this year.

I'm starting to like Lebron, but any player who decides to leave a team when he was obviously wanted back deserves to get hear boos.

I disagree strongly about that. Players have to do what is best for them. Fans have to accept that. Be appreciative of what the players did do for your franchise while they were there. I wouldn't boo for that reason.
