Has Westbrook become must watch tv?

He's such a polarizing guy. That's what everyone said about Kobe back in the day as well. Westbrook seems like a massive douche, and he's very unlikeable, but hell.. The dude is ripping apart the league. Not even Lebron has put up these numbers over a stretch like that. Very impressive. I don't see how anyone can argue that CP3 is better anymore.

I still think Durant is a better player when healthy though. Durant is absolutely elite on both ends of the floor, and when he's healthy there's no better scorer. OKC is lucky to have both. I think this is the year you can finally say they have two top five players in the world. When was the last time you could say that? Lebron/Wade maybe? Kobe/Gasol? Kobe/Shaq? It's a pretty rare feat to hold two massive talents like that.

And I just saw someone call him chokebrook in another thread, so I'm guessing his triple double in this game was meaningless as well. Short answer...its kd's team. Westbrook is overrated.

His offensive production this month is at historical levels.

Yes, I think he's must watch tv. He's been spectacular, though he's also a must see for what to do as well as what not to do. Dude is amazing, but he can't just take 30+ shots every other game with around 20 misses.

If Russ didn't play tonight OKC would have been blown out. He was the reason they even had a chance to win this on Portland's home court on a 2nd night of a back to back.

Aldridge and Lillard both had 29 points each and they barely squeaked out a win vs an OKC that right now is pretty much just Russ, Ibaka and a bunch of role players.

Ive been on GOATBrooks bandwaggon since 2011 where fools were saying he shoots too much. I'm going on the record and saying he is better than durant and that OKC is his team now.

I remember at UCLA, he wasn't a standout or anything... Nothing screamed future best player in the NBA about him...
Even aS recently as last season, I was critical of him, saying he shoots too much, when he has one of the most lethal and unique shooters in NBA history on his team..

But now?
I have no qualms about having Westbrook do whatever he wants.

I feel like there are parallels between how Westbrook is overtaking durrant, and how in the early 2000's when kobe overtook shaq.

Durrant and shaq are just 2 unique dominat players... But kobe and Westbrook are just insane competitors

Kobe never overtook Shaq. Even in 2004 when Shaqs decline had begun he was dominating Detroit until Kobe decided he wanted to be Finals MVP.
