The Pelicans have to be one of the dumbest playoff teams in the NBA. I don't understand why they waited til the 4th QTR to finally start force feeding Davis the ball.

There was times when Curry or Thompson was guarding Davis on a switch and instead of giving him the balls, the Pelicans kept chucking away with their guards and wings.

stop talking crap..warriors stand a great chance against anybody

Warriors let their guard down and lost focus which against better teams can't happen

Holy crap is monty williams dumb. Down 6 with 9 secs and no timeouts and you're not shooting 3's?

I love the fight from the Pelicans, impressive effort vs the best team in the league, oh yeah they gon take one game at home :D

AD first playoff game was bad in the first half, but that 4th quarter...damn he finished with 35 pts 7 rbds and 4 blocks?
Unfortunately, Pels can play a game at full strenght haha (Tyreke..)

I would trade two wins in NO for a win at GS in game 2 so that the Warriors freak out a little bit.

The four blocks should be discounted as Klay kept thinking he could drive on AD...three times.

Because Draymond started hacking a little bit less in the 4th

Terrible Offensive and Defensive game plan in Quarters 1-3 from the Pelicans staff. 4th quarter they changed their offense went inside more and moved Davis around near the basket and on D the bigs started to hedge Curry on the screens forcing Green to make a decision. Rotations looked better but GS is very good offensively.

Looking forward to the adjustments for NO in game 2.

I still say the Pelicans take the first game in New Orleans but ultimately I say the Dubs win in 5 but decent first win overall.

Wow. I would not feel good about this game if I were a GS fan. It was nearly a single possession game with around 10 seconds left, despite them being up by 25 at one point. And the Dubs were at home. I see the Pelicans at least taking a game. Someone needs to tell Monty Williams to start force feeding Davis. If it's between that and letting New Orleans' guards chuck up longballs, I'd feel good about the former.

I'd assume he told them what to do. Either him or his players are really dumb. How did they think they would win taking twos that late?

Small price for the Warriors to pay for a little wake up call. I bet they run the Pels off the floor in game 2.

Greg Monroe is not good. Terrible defender, no rim protection and mediocre interior scorer. The Pistons always play better when he's out of the lineup.

Pistons with Monroe: -0.5 point differential per 100.
Pistons without Monroe: -2.4 point differential per 100.

So unless you mean that they're worse when you said they're better you're completely wrong. Monroe and Davis is actually a good frontcourt combo but not ideal for NO. They need guards.

Warriors lost the season series vs. Spurs only team to do so

they would be underdogs vs the champs

The block on Bogut was pretty impressive.

What does Draymond hacking have to do with the Pelicans not giving Davis the ball when he's guarded by Thompson or Curry?
