He's questioning your choice of including LeBron in the list.

LeBron's legacy is pretty impressive already, it's not like he's a borderline HoF or anything.
I'd say Paul and Durant need one more than anyone. Both of those guys are MVP caliber players that need a ring to validate their accomplishments. Melo and Dwight (post-Orlando) aren't at that level.

well the reason im including lebron is because unless he wins 1 in his hometown some will say there will always be a stain on his legacy.

Kevin Durant and only Kevin Durant. Chris Paul has never really had the supporting cast to me. Although a ring would probably put him above Nash and Isaih in my opinion.

Agreed
Lebron is already a all time top 3-10 Player depending on who you ask(hell even his haters put him at least at 10)
Sure he will gain immensly with every ring he wins.. but its not as if his legacy is seriously on the Line. He is not at risk at missing the HoF or something.
Durant needs one or he will be just another Iverson.. a great Scorer who couldnt win.
Paul would actually really benifit. on an Individual Level he is one of the greatest PGs of all time but without a ring will always be overlooked.

To salvage their legacy? Or cement their legacy?
Salvage their legacy:
Rose
Bosh
Melo
Dwight
Bosh: was always considered the third wheel. Winning a championship without LeBron would strengthen his case.
Rose: debated placing him here because he's still young with a lot of basketball left,......IF his body allows it.....which is exactly why I put him here on the list. His legacy has taken a major hit, so much so the best way to repair it is by showing he can win a ring.
Melo and Dwight are easy choices.
Cement their legacy:
C. Paul
Durant
Harden
Curry
Kobe
Kobe: highly unlikely is the polite way to say it however adding another ring would cement his legacy into that next tier.

I respectfully disagree. I wonder if you actually saw Nash and Isaiah Thomas play in their prime. Paul is great and ring would elevate him even more, but I don't think I would pick him over Nash or Thomas.

To the media, Lebron is basically under pressure to win a ring every year from here on out simply for the fact that they always want to bring up the Lebron/Kobe/Jordan ring count all the time.
I think if Chris Paul makes a couple of Finals appearances first people will lay off of him. In my opinon Paul has never had the right 2nd option player he needs in order to make that leap to annual conference final/league best record/Finals contender discussion. I know many will disagree but as good as a player as Griffin is I only see a limited ceiling for the Paul/Griffin combination.
If Durant continues to face reoccurring injury problems I think people wont fault him and hold it against him if he doesnt win a ring. But if healthy then yeah they start early Jordan pre ring talk that was "great, effeicient scorer but wont win a ring".
As for Melo forget even the ring talk, he needs some division titles and winning seasons in NY first. I bet if you ask Knicks fans right now he's not even on Ewing's level yet or maybe not even Allan Houston's. He has to have a winning season next year or the pitchforks probably start to come out in NY.
I think the ship has sailed for most people's expectations of Dwight Howard at this point. I think their mind is made up in that he's not Shaq, not Hakeem, not David Robinson and some might only have him slightly over Ewing and Mourning(or not at all). All this meaning he's past his prime and peak so why expect a ring especially when he will no longer be the focal point on any team he's on. Rockets are Harden's team.

I'll take him over Nash but Isaiah no.

Well obviously I'm biased but Nash and Isaiah both had significantly better supporting casts so a ring would be impressive. Paul has a high peak and should have won MVP in 08, his numbers would be better than Isaiah and his legacy would be better than Nash, has to win the championship though.

My thoughts exactly! A 5 time champ 2 time scoring champ. Deserved or not all defensive selections, #3 all time scorer needs to prove what exactly?

LeBron is always at the top of this list until he wins 6, especially since he hasn't won one yet with the Cavs.
CP3 and Melo are the other obvious choices, winning a ring would cement Paul as a top 5 GOAT PG and completely change the perception of Melo.
Curry certainly doesn't "need" to win a ring but if he doesn't he'll be in this conversation in a few years, and this may be his best shot.
