Found a couple more good ones - Eddie House in 2009 for Boston against Orlando. Averaged 8.5, 1.8 and 1.9 in 18.3mpg in the regular season, and went off for 31 points on 11-14 shooting (4-4 from three, 5-6 from the line) in the conference semi finals.

Rookie Spud Webb in 1986 averaged 8 and 4 in 16mpg in the regular season for Atlanta, and in game 2 of the EC 1st round against the Pistons he dropped 19 points and 18 assists on only 8FGA (13-16 from the free throw line). Over the following three seasons he averaged around 5 and 4 in 16mpg before eventually getting a bigger role.

He averaged about 14 and 6 that year with a 15.2 PER and 53.1 True shooting. Doesn't seem that shocking

We nicknamed him "THUD" on the Warriors forum that he played with us one year (probably his last he was so bad) due to the sound of all the bricks he threw up.

I don't think anyone who was a starter for more than an entire season can be considered a scrub.

have you even glanced at this year's knicks roster or at bobcat's lockout season?

Yeah but which one of them had a great playoff run?

You're really gonna call Battier a scrub?

I remember fondly Brian Scalabrine scoring 10 against the Magic in 09; sadly, it was a loss, but WHITE MAMBA!

Off topic a little, but I saw a license plate that had WHTMAMBA at work today. I don't think I've been more happy.
Rest in peace Mamba. There'll never be another Kobe.

Do you guys know who Billy Ray Bates is?

No?

He's a player who used to play with the Trailblazers back in the early 80's.

He played 6 years with the Blazers as a scoring punch off the bench. Then played in multiple international leagues.

His career playoff average over 6 games? 26.7 ppg/2.8rpg/4.3 apg on 59% TS.

He was so phenomenal that he had a major part in "Breaks of the Game", maybe the greatest sports book of all time.

Had 1 game against Detroit and he got paid. Game 6 ECF in Cleveland he went 5-5 from 3, 12-15 from the FT, and finished with 31 pts to close out the Pistons. That offseason he signed a 5 year- 20 million dollar deal. Rarely contributed, and is best known as being a "Thug Angel".

Tricky case here. That was his rookie year and he played a significant role the following years on the team. He was a nice spot-up guy and was solid in that role with LBJ, posted abut a 58% TS in four years with Lebron in over 20 minutes a game. He wasn't a starting-quality guy but with LBJ around he was a solid role player.

His value bottomed out when Lebron left, but that's the way it goes for a shooter.

i just hate and admire him for that.

Guess that makes him a good playoff performer not a scrub.

Jerome James turned one good playoff series into a 5 year 30 million dollar contract. A gem of a signing from the Isiah Thomas era.

Green, while certainly not a scrub now, went from D-League player waived by the Cavs to almost being a Finals MVP. That kinda counts
